- The faculty are good and i i’m happy to enjoy their lectures .
- I liked the functional programs those are held every year in our university
Dislikes
- Their are some issues like as it is in hilly area we faces some issues to walk around the campus
Fees and Financial Aid:
Tution fees-440000 Admission fees-75000 Caution deposit-5000 If anyone choose hostel then the fees will be like 90000 around . They also provides scholarships if any student score more 75% or 7.5 cgpa in hi high school .
Likes
- The infrastructure of the college that is in the hills
- Attendance system is good because it’s strict
Dislikes
- The partiality towards certain religion can be seen
- Faculties are not that experienced as some of them are directly given job after graduation from the college itself
Fees and Financial Aid:
Our per semester fees is 30,000 which is quite fair because other universities charge more for this coarse. Those who are in merit they are almost provide free admission and reservations are there. The amount increases every year for new admission taken. Total fees for the coarse is 3 lakhs as per 2021 admissions.

- I like the University environment, as there greenery all around The University.
Dislikes
- I don't like some rules and resolution of the university like sometimes they are not allow us to leave the university at any time like have to live whether in break time that is 12 to 1:00 p.m. and after 4
Fees and Financial Aid:
I did my bachelors in USTM and I know enrolled in MSW in the year 2024 my course fees is per semester 45000 and hostel fees for three seaters 6850 and for two seaters 7350 and for single room single bed 10000 per months.
Likes
- Environment of the campus is pleasant plus its quite big.
- The faculty are excellent and understandable towards the students
Dislikes
- The admin staff is too rude sometimes which can make the public unhappy
- Fees are high and they always increase the fees especially the sem fees and exam fees
Fees and Financial Aid:
Our admission cost around 60k and semesters fees for each semester is 45k which we will be paying and had finish paying the first i payment. We get scholarship from umbrella scheme Meghalaya, but this year we are having lot of problems applying for it
Likes
- The most amazing part of the ustm is the faculty members they are so much lenient and free. They are so convenient and helpful. All the faculty members are young as well.
- Secondly, the ustm also pay more attention in employing the students those who did their masters and phd from ustm itself
Dislikes
- The USTM focuses on mostly academics other than academics there are less number of recreational activities like general freshers, some big concerts and dont mostly focus on sports
- The ustm dont allow females students so much freedom. They are not allowed to stay in campus after 5:00 of clock in the evening not even in the library
Fees and Financial Aid:
Well, This university is the best private college in our entire Guwahati and Meghalaya area. It offers the best of best education among other in social work. The fee structure is all the most a affordable one but according to the amenities we get it is not reasonable as we dont have any labs and any other study tour also. The current fee structure for MSw in ustm is Rs45000/- per semester that will be Rs 90000 per year and Rs 180000 during two years. During admission the total sums up with Rs 65750/-

- Pollution free and enthusiastic chancellor
Dislikes
- Not many skilled faculties and education system outdated
- Internal administration is just the worst
Fees and Financial Aid:
Yearl fees is almost 1,30,000 INR. Semester breakup is 65,000. However you get scholarship facilities such as 100%freeship, 70/50% scholarships for poor and meritorious students. All tuition fees,lab fees etc are similar to all caste categories. Registration and admission fees-88,000/- caution fees-10,000/- Some of my batchmates enjoyed 100% freeship and most of them enjoyed 50% scholarships.

- Infrastructure of USTM is so beautiful and greenery is everywhere.
Dislikes
- There is no equality in girls and boys. Hostellers of girls hostel only are not allow in the canteen after 5 pm but boys can, even warden or any other faculty who stay in the hostel they also are not allowed but boys can.
Fees and Financial Aid:
I was pursuing bsc microbiology in USTM with 50% off in semester fees. The semester fees are 30000 in my time and i was giving 15000 only. Admission fee is 40000 and tuition fee is also 40000 and caution deposit is 10000 i.e. refundable. And in USTM , they give many types of scholarships like if your grades are good in your class 12 then they will provide you some discount in your semester fees and if you are economically not strong then they will also give you some discount in semester fees. And I was in hostel so the hostel fee is 7350 and for attached bathroom 8350 and caution deposit is 10000.
Likes
- there are a little more restrictions than others , which I don't feel that uncomfortable. Maybe it's necessary for some point of view. Like we are not able to bunk our classes easily.
- It's surrounded with greenery all around.
Dislikes
- Our classes start from 9am to 4pm. And we have only 1hour break. I feels so hectic. We use to reach hostel almost after 5pm .
- I think they should conduct the practical classes more efficiently.
Fees and Financial Aid:
In our university, our per semester fee is 40,000. And as per as I remember my admission fee was arround 56,000. There are no other fees, but during semester exams we need to pay a amount of 3600 for exam registration. Same case goes with my batchmates. There are some sort of scholarship available for the scheduled Tribes. I'm currently in 3rd semester, and my semester fee is the same. It's not increasing.

- The central auditorium is the largest in the Northeast region of India.
- The campus is filled with greenery and is very big as well which provides a very good campus life to students
Dislikes
- In a hot and humid place where the university is situated, there is no provision of AC in the classrooms
- Very hectic schedule. The classes are very hectic for any department and course. We never get off classes and that's why it becomes too much for ya students to be there in the campus from morning 9 to evening 4
Fees and Financial Aid:
The year wise fee I would be paying for my course i.e BA. English is Rs. 80,000. But the admission fee is extra Rs. 40,000 at first. Scholarships are available for students who either belong from SC/ST category or have poor financial status (Family income being lower than 2.5 Lakh per annum)

- Department is good, supportive and help every time
- Views of University is very mesmerizing.
Dislikes
- Fees is very high. Need to be less .
- U have stay 9am to 4pm no sport period..
Fees and Financial Aid:
Registration fees 1000 than Addmission fees almost 75000 and caution deposit 10000 mislineous fee 10000. Per semester 45000 if you don't pay in time they will charge 500 to 1000 rupees. Duration of course is like 2 years
