A honest review for my University

Likes

The ratio of girl's in the university was more compared to boy's.

Dislikes

Actually the tution fees was a bit costly for the students

Internships opportunities are available for students, industrial visits, etc are being conducted by the university for the students. Different types of programs are being conducted by the university that actually helps in the betterment of the students.

It was like when I first join the college i was very much impressed by looking at its beauty and development
The teachers of our department was very much helpful, talented and supportive

Dislikes

The field of this university is not good made of soil but they should implement the good quality of field for games

APY PHARMA it was like u will have to go by your own the university will find u out the company I have worked on many projects but two of them i remembered one is making of gel and a review on diabetes

what I aspects of the college I appreciate and it is improvement
My engagement is not campus life and social interaction
The learning facilities is very good and our aminity is very good

Dislikes

Some rule are there is very pathetic and I don't like it
The some students ase very dangerous and noughty
Some teachers Aro not good they don't know anything about me or other what they think of us it's very wrong

Internships Opportunities:

I know some of students are going to internship but didn't go because my course is not complete the internships is gone out of the last year but ame currently studying in 1st year I don't know anything about the internships

A review on USTM

Likes

The ambiance of the college and its location.
The teachers and their helping nature in all case
The laboratory and the hostel facilities

Dislikes

The hostel fees and college fees which is too much

Placement Experience:

The placement drive begins for students from their second year of college. Companies like HDFC, TATA, Flipkart etc came to our college Around 5-10% students get placement every year After my degree i plan to go into the reseach field by cracking the CSIR NET exam.

Leniency with attendance. attendance was not that strictly maintained yet its not preferred to have lowest attendance otherwise we wont be able to give end semester examination.
The environment of the University is very clean,the institution is built in a peaceful places built
More focus on academics,focus is being given more on academics than in other co-curricular activites which is good.

Dislikes

Less attention by the teachers with the individual progress of each student
there should be atleast 2 good events held at the university for the refreshment of the students
Travel and network issues are prevalent,its quite difficult for students to travel on their own

Different NGOs accept students from here. Recently,one of our seniors got accepted in a good company. Many students get placement in Manipal University, Dibrugarh university. If scored first class then they come to pick students.

Internships Opportunities:

No, all students donot get placement as the companies comes for placement offers and they select according to the skills and performance. 25% students gets the placement among all students. Its bit tough to get paid internship like 10% gets paid internship and other do internship for acquiring skills. Our course donot allow for internship so if we want to do then we have to do it at the time of vacation.

My 6 months in USTM as of now

Likes

Teachers are friendly and helpful and try their level best to make students understand.
Programs conducted here in USTM are colourful and joyful compared to my previous schools and colleges
Facilities are provided to students as promised in the prospectus

Dislikes

The hostel management needs a reform especially hostel B due to unhygienic food and rooms.
The presence of Assamese language in classes makes others who don't understand it uncomfortable.
Young and intelligent but inexperienced teachers takes classes here in my course.

Internships Opportunities:

The stipend here is 8k as my senior had mentioned but can't know more. SunPharma and other companies came but I can't remember their names. Industries do come to offer students about their offers . The opportunity is quite different than my college

Likes

The faculty are good and i i’m happy to enjoy their lectures .
I liked the functional programs those are held every year in our university
Besides I personally liked the campus as it is in hilly area .

Dislikes

Their are some issues like as it is in hilly area we faces some issues to walk around the campus

Internships Opportunities:

University of science and Technology Meghalaya itself provides you the internship related to your courses and all . The internship will be from 7th sem i.e end of the course. Also they provide good placements.
