Placements are one of the best in our country with my branch's average package going to 20 lakh per annum. Our college has NIRF ranking 1 and hence serves as the hub to nationwide placements. If no Campus Placements are offered we'll go with Apping process where I'll try to approach alumni through LinkedIn or maybe start up owners also.

Placements at college are very good. Companies come for each domain and one can go for any job that he/she wants. Students get internship opportunities from the second year onwards and job opportunities from their fourth year. Last year 384 companies visited and 1788 job offers were made. Around 94% of students were placed and the highest package was Rs 3.67 Cr. I plan to sit for the placements and take up a good job in the IT sector.

The curriculum at IIT Bombay is very interesting and diverse. It prepares us for industry as well as higher research purposes. The curriculum has many interesting courses which influenced my decision to join the chemical engineering program at iitb. The curriculum is highly suited with real world scenarios and prepares us as highly skilled engineers. The exams are held in semesters as mid semester exams and end semester exams.

The curriculuum is highlly rated for its relevance in industry and comrehensiveness, blending core concepts with advanced topics in computing. The inclusion of courses on algorithms, data structures, machine learning and AI, coupled with electives in emerging areas like Blockchain and quantum computing, influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum effectively prepares students for both industry roles and academic research, with practical labs, projects, and internships that emphasize real-world applications. Exams are semester based, typically held in Nov and April. They are challenging, designed to test both theoretical knowledge and problem solving skills. Improvement could be made by incorporating more interdisciplinary courses and increasing focus on soft skills. Additionaly, adopting more interactive teaching methods like flipped classrooms could enhance learning and engagement.

As a student of B.sc (Hons) first two years you have to clear all the optional courses, which is a good perspective to overall development of students but due to this student can not totally concentrate on the main course and competitive exam.

Curriculum here is good. There are 2-3 core courses every semester and other electives can be chosen from 2nd year. The sequence of core courses for engineering physics is well defined moving from classical to quantum. Mostly 2-3 classes per week per course. Exams are mostly midsem endsem and quizzes in between.

The placements at IIT Bombay are generally good. There are companies that come specifically to this college only in all of India (they dont even go to other IITs). The packages that most people get range from 15-20lacs. There are higher packages also exceeding 1cr, but only very few students get them . Likewise there are also very low paying jobs offered (lowest i know being aroung 6lacs) but that also is limited to few students. Additionally you get Internships also at many good companies paying you large amounts (some beiing as high as around 6lacs per month). The same pattern is reflecetd here as in placements as in most people get somewher aroung 1-1.5lacs per month. (What I mean by most here is most good packages, the number is students getting them might be around 30%% of total students)
