All aspect of IITB sumarised

Likes

So many events, no only fests but competions are also held weekly for many things. Each competetion teches you something new.
The curriculum and research opportunties are outstanding.
Tech teams, gives you hands on experience and also you if you have any innovative idea yoyu can try it out.

Dislikes

Girls to boys ratio is 1 to 4. Could have been better
Some games like free fire or pubg does not run on the wifi. You need a VPN to run such games.
Some time mess food is not tasty but you still have canteen.

Internships Opportunities:

There are very few internship in core sector but if you are interested in software/IT sector it is easy to get an internship. There is placement cell which will help you get 9internship as well also you can apply for internships on your own, former is generally the backup option if you afre not able to find a good internship on your own.

Likes

This is the top most IIT which provides placement approx 23 lpa.
Asia's biggest cultural event is organised by our college.
This is in Mumbai so various fields are open.

Dislikes

Far from home and whether is very humid and Harsh.
Since Mumbai is a very expensive place so it is bad for students.
Hostel closing time is 10:00 p.m. which I personally don't like.

Our internship scenario is also very good. I personally date internship in DRDO. Officially from 5th semester internship starts but if you are good enough you can do vocational training in many repeated companies.

Life at IIT Bombay : In and Out

Likes

The boys to girls ratio is now 4:1 which which is a significant improvement from the past
The infrastructure is world class and constant improvements keep taking place continuously.
There are various student and faculty mentorship programs, to ensure that the mental and physical health of the students is taken care of.

Dislikes

The hostel culture in girls hostels is pretty less. The involment and engagement and bonding of boys hostel has improved.
The course curriculum is too rigourous, and needs a lot of effort for outstanding results.
The salaries data that comes out is not 100 percent true, 1/2 people get these super high packages and rest are average and a bit above.

Internships Opportunities:

I am yet to do my 3rd year internship. Companies like BASDF, HTE , Zeiss, Piramal, HUL, ITC, PnG come to campus for campus internships for the chemical department. They offer 10-12 weeks on nternships and assign projects and industry mentors.

The amount of resources iit bombay provides is awesome.
The professors clarity over the subject they teach and their intuitive explanation skills are good.
The clubs and tech teams provide deep domain knowledge and keep us constantly active in some or the other events.

Dislikes

The hostel services can be improved and also the mess food .
There can be more interactive sessions so that the students are able to know each other.
The transport facilities in the college can be improved.

The sporting facilities available are top notch
Most of the professors are the best in their field and consultants for reputed organizations

Internships Opportunities:

The professors take in students in the summer, some registration forms are floated close to end of semester by different organizations in the college. Various projects in each department are offered in the same.

For the one who are looking for affordable and quality this is the best

It is very affordable and not much formalities or any limitations and all as you know its a technical based collage
The person who running the collage is very kind and trying to help everyone he can
I personally very crazy about his behave i never see he making any issues regarding the late fees with any one this is the most important

Dislikes

I have nothing much to say about negatives, still the size of the class rooms and all should be little more big
Also the staffs they are not much supportive or trying to help the principal he struggles sometimes
They can still get some more facilities like mess or food stations near,

Mainly we go to Maruti suzuki , Tata , showrooms and some local areas still he well organaised the inernship for students without any fail also we got traing from the rto for a week time really impressive one

classes are very big. the professors are excellent and everything you have learnt will be tested atleast once in 2-3 weeks.
quality of the infrastructure is excellent and no other indian colleges have been this much beautiful.
asia's largest techfest and cultural fest happen here which describes the brand of of the college.

Dislikes

as per some reports we are hearing that placements are being reduced.
girls to boys ratio is 1:4 which is a disappointment according to me.

Internships Opportunities:

many companies like amazon apple microsoft tesla etc come to our college for taking the best students and give them the best packages students . many of the projects are goin on around the campus. one such beauty is conducting the electricity with a silver pen when we draw lines between 2 wires.

my life at IIT Bombay

there tuition system is very nice cause of prof.
environment here is very nice like it's clean and and everything is systematic.
as for library there are many books available in it and they are very helpful

Dislikes

it's campus is not in central area of mumbai
messing here is very expensive and i don't like food here
there is no metro station near by cause of that we have to take long path

Internships Opportunities:

we have many great companies and most of them are related to technology but as for names i don't know companies cause i am 1st year and i have been for only 1 semester but i have heard of microsoft and nvidia for placement and internship.

Definitely this information is helpful for many of the students.

Likes

Best education system and also a extra curricular activities. The professor's of college is all PhD graduated, very good in teaching and also humble . Also here many labs with high technological instrumat.
Their is lot of clubs for students who are interested in doing extra things than studying like dancing, singing, drama, speaking, drawing, standup comedy etc. And for those students who intrested in learning competative coding their is web and coding
Here's sports facilities are also very good. Almost all sports facilities are here and well trained coach.all students are able to learn and explore all games. be part of inter IIT compitition.

Dislikes

Sometimes the hostel food is not good in taste.
Some hostel has small rooms and not in good condition .

Internships Opportunities:

Total 1,267 internship opportunities have been offered with a lion's share being internship from companies and about 90 being university offers. these internships are crucial as several get converted to full employment offers.

The Overall Experience at SJMSOM

Likes

As SJMSOM is a part of IIT Bombay, so all the students got all facilities at IITB like cultural fest, sports activities.
They have very well educated and well experienced Faculty.
The faculty of SJMSOM are very supportive.

Dislikes

The buildings of SJMSOM are still under construction.
There in no any fixed date for Exam, they release tentative dates.
The fees of SJMSOM is too much a middle class family can not afford.

Internships Opportunities:

SJMSOM boasts a strong placement record with top recruiters from various sector like from Consulting sector, different companies like Accenture, Deloitte, Brain & Company, etc offers the role of Business Analys, Data analyst. from Finance sector companies like JP Morgan Chase, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, etc, offers the role of Financial analyst, risk analyst.
