Old hostel rooms are very small and need upgrades in infrastructure

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum in IITB is designed accordingly with the needs of current industry and research situations. The course is well adapted with the changes and advancements in technologies. The curriculum consists of various core courses and electives which gives knowledge to work in industrial area as well as to pursue future research. The exams are held as mid semester exams, end semester exams and quizzes. There are 2 semesters in every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure at IITB consists of tuition fees, hostel fees, mess fee etc. The tution fee is around 1 lakhs per semester and including other fee also it adds up to 1.4 lakhs per semester. There are various scholarships available provided by government as well as private institutions. One popular scholarship is merit cum means scholarship which includes fee waiver and monthly stipend also for eligible candidates.

Campus Life

The campus life in IITB is very diverse and enjoyable. Throughout the year many fests happen here like mood indigo, techfest, e-summit etc Mood indigo is largest college fest in Asia which attracts a lot of crowd. The libraries and classrooms are well maintained and equipped with all the necessary resources. The sports facilities are also very good. One can enjoy almost every sport with good facilities. There are various clubs and student bodies available which helps to gain knowledge and skills.

Admission

Admission in IITB is through the joint entrance examination(JEE) advanced. This is a highly tough and competitive exam held annually in the month of May or June. To write this exam one must have passed the jee main examination which is held twice a year. The application form and fee details are available on the respective websites of jee main and jee adv. The jee adv exam is a set of 2 exams each of 3 hours and jee main is a single paper of 3 hours. Areas of improvement could have more transparency in the examination and selection procedure.

placements here are eligible from the 6th sem . companies like tcs , infosys , capgemini , tech mahindra , infocepts etc visit the campus offering multiple roles .the highest package is around 12LPA while average ranges between 3 to 4 LPA . My plan is to prepare for campus placement drive

Placement Experience:

The placements here are good. But if more diverse number of companies are coming , then it would be more beneficial for students. Te average package you can expect is 4lpa . The most number of students getting placed companies are seclore and sogolytics.

COEP Technological University through my eyes.

Placement Experience:

Good placements are offered by this college. Top companies like Tata Motors, Bajaj, DE Shaw, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Wipro pari, etc. Average placement for mechanical branch is about 9lpa while that for computer and entc goes up to 15lpa.
