Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I had liked the course from my jee days and enrolled it. But it is a huge distraction from what I have learnt before. To be honest the courses are bit frustrating with proofs being the main objective. The good part are the labs. Some professors have great knowledge but falls short in teaching. But if you have gathered interest in a specific branch of physics you will get great support from the respective professors and senior students to pursue it further. Recently they changed a few curriculum because it is timely. Courses can be easy sometimes and frustrating the other times but exams are almost the same haunting. There will be a few assignments for every course, 2 quizzes, mid and end-semester exams, and also a project.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship opportunities will not be that easy as placement and the competition will be some what less. People with high cpi and good exposure and experience on their projects will get internship opportunities many of them get ppos from their internships

Placement Experience

2

The placement starts in December for the final year students. Every time almost 85 percent gets placed. But the recession affected this year's placement.this time it might be 65percent placed. Companies ranging from MNCs to startups come here. There are 165+ companies visited till now. There are many profiles of jobs they have offered with the top tier being SWE, ML, consultancy, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a tution fee of almost 1 lakh per semester. Hostel fee and mess fee together of 22000 per semester. There are many scholarship programs available in institute based on caste, income, CGPA etc... I know two scholarships personally MCM, fee remission. They pay for total tution fee and MCM also provides extra 40000. There are roles like TA ship where you can work with prof to manage his course and you get paid.

Campus Life

4.5

The college fest are known for it grandenour. Mood Indigo, Techfest, E summit etc. Mood Indigo is the asias largest college fest. former two happens in the second half of December. And the latter happens in the January. The library here is of a large scale. It has almost every book you can think of. And a great atmosphere to read. They have adopted technology to maintain books. There are classrooms designed based on strength of a courses assigned to number of people. They have been incubated with air conditioners and digital leds, speakers. With electric plugs to each benches The Gymkhana design is a classic design with a running track around cricket ground. There are many clubs and grounds to train students in all the sports including indoor games. There are many cultural clubs like abhudhay, NSS, vision etc... encouraging every art form and doing the work to improve the campus aesthetics.

Hostel Facilities

5

They will provide sharing rooms until you reach final year, with a table, bed, almarah, chair. They provide you healthy and tasty meals 4 times a day. Hostel Life here is affordable and there are canteens available until early morning if you are a night person. There are competitions between hostels like they have shown in the movie chichore. They provide electric buggies to travel form hostel to class.

Admission

I cleared both jee mains and advance and got myself in EP. Jee mains and advance had been postponed repeatedly, which is a little frustrating. I didn't like the process being somewhat lengthy in the time of lockdown. I don't have much suggestions to improve everything in the process is necessary, if not the institute is trying to reduce them
