- The students team here in IIT BOMBAY is very good. The seniors are ready to help in anything you want.
- The campus is also peaceful and filled with greenary. You wouuld definitely enjoy the place here.
- The infrastucture is pretty good but not that good.
Dislikes
- The lecture halls are far from the hostel so it will take atleast 30 mins to walk.
- The professors even though are good at the subject they lack the ability to explain it clearly.
- The classes are really huge, which makes the class always distractive.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course for the first year is very bad and I believe it is irrelavent to the filed i want to go. The curriculam is not updated but you can actually learn new things by joining clubs which is way better than the lectures.
Internships Opportunities
The intership can be done inside the college by assisting the professors in their classes, which require a really high CGPA, but another easy way is to pitch internships from online which is easily available due to the IIT Tag.
Placement Experience
The placements in IIT bombay are one of the best in the whole country due to it's high packages, But recently many students are doing MTech and MBA from foreign rather than going for direct jobs . Some are also going for starting businesses.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees in IIT Bombay is around 3 Lakhs including mess and Hostel. Also there is some other compulsary spending on projects and for clubs. So it is quite expensive here in IIT Bombay, but i would say it is definitely worth it.
Campus Life
The social life in IIT Bombay is undoubtably the best in the whole country. The culturals such as Salsa Night, Prom night , Techfest , mood Indigo are some of the iconic ones. The sports in IIT bombay is pretty good.
Admission
I chose IIT BOMBAY mainly because i was getting Electrical Dual Degree only here, But also chose it explicitely because of the clubs in IIT Bombay and also the opportunities to do whatever we like than the lecture, unlike other colleges.
Faculty
Even though the faculty to student ratio is high, in practice the number of students in a class is way difficult for a professor to handle. The exams are mostly way difficult than the material they teach in class, even which we stuggle to grasp.
Night Life
The night life is actually the day life in IIT Bombay as most of us will be active in the night till 2pm and slepp till 9 am and run to the lectures to sleep there. There is no timing for hostel. Except sameer hills and boat house all places are safe to roam even at 12 am.
