Course Curriculum Overview

4

I would rate the course curriculum as good in terms of relevance and coverage of the basics. The curriculum is designed to build strong fundamental concepts in the first year and then gradually move towards core and advanced subjects. This was one of the main resons I chose this course, as a proper base in engineering along with practical subjects and labs. The curriculum includes theory, practicals, assignment and mini projects which help in understanding real world applications. Subjects like programing, graphics, mathematics and core engineering topics help in developing problem solving and techinical skills. This is useful both for higher studies and for placements. However, there is still some scope for improvement. The syllabus in a few subjects feels a bit outdated and could include more industry oriented topics, new techonologies and practical exposure. More hands on projects, workshops and industry interactions would make the learning more effective. In terms of exams, there are two unit tests during the semester and then end semester exam. The unit test are conducted at regular intervals and are usually easier, mainly for practice and comparatively more difficult and covers the full syllabs but it is manageable with regular study and preparation. Overall, the exam pattern is fair and helps students stay consistent with thier studies.

Internships Opportunities

4

The college provides internship opportunities mainly from the second and third year onwards. The training and placement cell sharesinternship opening with students and also guides them in applying for internship through different platforms. Many students get internship in companies from the IT and core engineering sectors. Some common companies offering internship include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini and few local industries and startups. The roles offered are usually software developer intern, web development intern, data analysis intern or techinical trainee depending on the branch and skills of the student. some internship are paid, with stipend usually ranging from 5000- 15000 rupees per month, while some are unpaid but provide valuable experience. During internship, students usually work on real time projects like developing simple web application, working on coding tasks, testing software, preparing technical reports or assisting in production related tasks in core industries. These projects help students understands practical applications of what they learn in the classroom. Overall, the college encourages students to do internship and provides guidance through the placement cell, which helps students gain industry exposure and improbve thier skills before final placements.

Placement Experience

4

Placement in my college are decent, especially for computer related branches. Students usually become eliggible for campus placement from the 7th semester. The placement cell conducts taining programs from earlier semesters, including aptitude tests, technical sessions and mock interviews to prepare students. Many companies visit the campus every year, mainly from the IT and software sector. Some ofthe common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant and mid level companies. A few products based or higher paying companies also visit for specific branches. The average package is usually around 4-6 LPA while the highest package can go above 10-12 LPA in some years, especially for computer science and IT students. The placement percentage varies by branch, but overall, around 70-80 % of eligible students get placed with higher percentages in computer related branches. As for my personal plan, after completeing my degree, I aim to get a good campus placement in a reputed company and start my career in the engineering field. I also plan to keep improving my technical and communication skills during the course to increase my chances of getting a better package.

Fees and Financial Aid

At Rajarambapu Institute of Technology, the yearly fee depends on the category. i belong to sebc category, so my total annual fee comes to around 97250 rupees The main part of the fees is the tution fee of 20478 rupees. apart from this , there are some other compulsory charges like S.U. Fees and miscellaneous 566 rupees , student service charges 630 rupees , advance 2200, eligibility 300 rupees, exam fees 2200, library deposite 2200 rupees, ISTE membership 295 rupees, digital id card 200 rupees, SUK student and parent kalyan nidhi 100 rupees and accident and medical fee 20 rupees. This amount is almost similar every year, with only small changes in some minor charges. so for four years, the the total course fee for my category comes to around 3.8 to 4 lakh approximately. for other categories, the fees are different. Students from open category generally pay higher fees, while SC,ST and some other reserved categories pay much less because of government benifits. The college also provide a scholarship support through the MahaDBT portal, where student get scholarship acording to thier category. Many student receive tutuion fee reimbursement or other financial aid through his scheme, which reduces the overall financial burden.

Campus Life

5

My overall campus life experience at rajarambapu institute of technology has been quite good, especially in terms of social activities, infrastructure and student involvement. The main annual fest of the college is "Virangula", which is usually held in the last week of february. During the same period, the college also organizes a science exhibition where students present thier projects and innvoations. Apart from this, traditional days and various cultural activities are also celebrated. Different departments conduct thier own technical events and competitions, which gives students a chance to learn and participate. The library is one of the strong points of the college. It is very big and well maintained with a wide range of books, reference materials and journals available for differnrt branches. Students can easily access study materials whenever required. In terms of classrooms, the infrastructure is modern. Most classrooms are equipped with digital boards, which makes teaching more interactive. Students are also provided with digital ID card for campus use. For sports and extracurricular activites, the college has good facilities. There are separate and stadium for sports like cricket, football, basketball and tennis. The campus alsohas a well equipped gym with advanced machines for students. There aare many technical and non technical clubs on campus. These clubs organize events, workshops and competitions, whichhelpstudents improve thier skills, build confidence and interact with others. Overall, the campus life is active and supports both academics and personal development.

Admission

I had applied to a few engineering colleges during the admission process. My first preference was PCCOE ( Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering ) because of its reputation and placement record. However, due to my marks and rank, I couldn't get admission there. The cutoff for PCCOE was higher than my score, so i had to look at other good options available in my range. I got a confirmed in Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (RIT) through the CET counselling process. I chose this college because it is one of the wall known engineering colleges in the sangli and kolhapur region. It has a good academic environment, decent plscement record and proper infrastructure. Compared to some other college in the same rank range RIT has a better reputation, experienced faculty and a cleaner, more disciplined campus. The admission process is done through the CET Cell counselling ( CAP rounds) conducted by the maharashtra government. Students can take admission based on MHT CET or JEE Main scores. Most students prefer MHT CET for getting admission in this college. First, sudents fill the CAP application form, upload documents and select thier preferred colleges. Then, based on thier rank and cutoff, seats and complete the admission process at college. Overall, the admission process was smooth and transparent and I was able to secure a seat in RIT through the counselling system.

Faculty

4

In my college, the faculty memeners are generallly supportive and approachable. the faculty-to-student ratio is decent and most teachers are ready to help student after lectures or dueing practical sessions. Student can easily clear their doubts, and the overall teacher- student relationship is positive. Some of the faculties i personally liked are Yogesh Patil sir, who taught us Graphics and Smita Salunke mam who taught PPS. Thier teaching style was clear and easy to understand. They explained concept step by step and were always ready to solve doubts, which made the subjects more interesting and easy to learn. One faculty I didn't find very comfortable learning from was Khedkar Sir for mathematics, mainly beacause the teaching speed was quite fast, which made it difficult to follow some topic properly. In terms of exam, there are two unit tests ( UT1 and UT2) and then the End Semester Exam (ESE). The unit test are usually easier and help students prepare for the final exam. The end semester exam is a bit more difficult compared to the unit tests, but student attend lectures regulsrly and study properly, it is manageable. The number of student failing is not very high and most students are able to pass with regular study. The course curriculum is quite relevant to engineering and includes both theory and practical subjects. it focusses on building basics cocept as well as technical skills, which are helpful fpr further studies and placement.

Night Life

5

The nightlife around Rajarambapu Institute of Technology is calm and comfortable rather than very busy, which suits the overall peaceful environment of the campus. The college has a well equipped gym with advanced machines, but it is open only during fixed hours in the day. The library, cafeterias and other campus facilities also close in the evening , so most late night activities happen in hostels or nearby areas. In terms of hostel timings, the girls'hostel timing is from 7am to 8pm, while the boys'hostel has an in time around 10pm. these rules are followed strictly for safety. There are many small cafes and food spots around the college where students usually hang out after classes. These places are popular for tea, snaks and casual conversations with friends. One peaceful and popular nearby spot is the Ran Mandir area, which students like to visit for a calm walk or to relax in the evening. The locality around the college is generally safe and student friendly.
