Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As I am pursuing B.tech in mechatronics engineering, the reason behind choosing this course was as there is lot of scope in the field of EV vehicles, robotics and automation and semiconductor industries and my course is designed to prepare myself and my batchmates so to be eligible to work and pursue career in such industries, the course curriculum prepare us for various real world applications such as analog and digital electronics, industrial fluids, graphics designing, etc. The Ut exams are of 1 hour each and has frequency of 2 subject exams per day and is not much difficult while the ESE exams are of 3 hours each and 1 subject exam per day and is quite difficult.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Overall 91.68% students get internships major internship recruiters are cognizant,Bentley systems,L&T, Tata Motors Ltd, ABC Automations Ltd, Emerson Ltd, SANY India Ltd, Persistent systems, etc. various projects were designed and developed by students like Food mixing machine, PLC based fodder processing machine etc.

Placement Experience

4.5

My college provides one of the best placements to students. Students from semester 6 to semester 8 becomes eligible for campus placements. The companies visited my college for campus placements are TCS, TATA motors, Bharat Forge, HDFC ergo, syntel , Mahindra, RDC concrete, L&T,etc. The highest package offered was 56 LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

The total yearly or annual fees for my first year and going on year was Rs. 145755 from which I paid Rs.84886 as I was eligible for the scholarship named as Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna (EBC) in the whole fee structure the Tuition fees was Rs.60870 , development fees is 18261

Campus Life

5

The overall campus life of my college always gives a positive, friendly and good vibes the central library has Almost 1,35,041 books, 33,251reference books, 1,01,709 textbooks, 40,366 titles are available for students. The facilities available in classroom are whiteboard, digital smartboard , comfortable benches, 24 hr electricity facility with smoothly running fans and LED lights , etc.

Admission

The other colleges I applied for was th Walchand college of Engineering, sangli , Shri Guru Gobind Singh college of engineering, nanded and DKTE ,ichalkarangi. I got confirmed admission in DKTE through cap round 1. But I choose RIT over DKTE because RIT has better teaching , good faculty and better placements then DKTE and is one of the most reputated college in Maharashtra. While I got rejection from Walchand college of engineering and Shru Guru Gobind Singh college of engineering because the I didn't fulfilled the merit eligibility of these colleges. The whole admission process of my college was through cap round. The eligibility exams accepted for my course are CET, JEE, AIEEE,etc. the most preferred exams by students are CET and JEE. The admission experience was smooth since my admission for RIT was confirmed in Cap round 2 and all I need to get my admission in RIT was just to pay the course fee. The curoffs varies depending on courses you need to apply in these exams.

Faculty

4.5

every faculty are good in their respective fields so to mention best of them is not possible as every faculty has their own way of teaching and interaction .Every sem has three exams from which UT1&2 are of 25 marks and are needed to qualify for ESE of 100 marks. UT exams is not much difficult but the ESE is quite difficult and almost 20% students gets fail in ESE.

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
