- Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
- I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
- I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .
Dislikes
- In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
- Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
- Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

- Beautiful campus with lots of greenery places to hang out with friends
- The electronics lab and computer lab are great, with the seperate computer centre also being great

- A bit far away from main town, around 20 kms
Placement Experience:
Here we recieve a really high number of offers this year it was around 970,
The highest package received this year was 44.42 lpa and average was around 12 lpa
Accenture, Bharat electronics limited are few of the top hirers, intel and nvidia also hire from here they are more relevant for ece students
The percentage of students getting placed is 81%
I will most probably try for a direct placement, I'm not thinking about higher studies(MTECH)after UG but that might change in the future

- The campus is lush green, and the hostel and mess facilities are good, there are few canteens. The boys to girl ratio are like 4:1.
- The sports facilities are also good, NIT Calicut secured 1st place in inter NIT sports last year. There are coaches allotted for every different sport.
- The campus life is also good; there are 2 main fests: one Tathva(technical fest) and other is Ragam(cultural fest), both the fests are south India's largest fests, there is also a fest called Tarang for management students.
Dislikes
- The wifi facility in hostel is okok, can be acceptable. The taste food in mess in also okok.
- There are football and hokey grounds in campus which are near but there is cricket ground which is far away.
Placement Experience:
The campus placements are good, can be better. This year the average is 15L and median is 12L and highest is 50L for ece, the percentage of placed students in ece is also greater than 80%.In the 3rd year students are taken for interships and those may convert to placements and for 4th year students placements will start from the start of their 4th year itself.For ece meesho, dell, texax instuments and many other companies came, meesho paid the highest salary in ece.My plan is to secure a good job in core company.

- collecting more and more funds for events and scamming most of them.
- more groups formed such as telugu mallu hindi groups which ruin unity.
- more ragging issues. especially from andhra and telangana people

we get placements mostly in the post 6th sem or in 7th sem. Some major companies like texas instruments offer good packages here. others include meesho, goldmans sachs, dell, bpl. Highest package is around 50lakh for ece students and around 70 lakh for cse. more than 80 percent get placed from cse and ece but is only around 20 percent in branches like production engineering, engineering physics. less core companies than it ones

- The Campus is very beautiful with all those greenery and with a very pleasant weather
- The faculties are very friendly. They try to help us in every problem. A faculy Advisor is assigned to each student.
- The Hostels and Gym equipments are top-notch which you find in a proper GYM
Dislikes
- The path from Mega Hostel to campus goes through a steep mountain climb which we have to climb when we miss the bus.

Placement Experience:
Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements,
My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

academics in nitc is not that tough if you study well enough you can score good cgpa. academics include labs and other activities . every sem there is midsem examination and endsem examination ,other than this internal exams are also present.

Placement Experience:
As per NITC the impressive placement oppurnities for its students in the recent drive in present years the highest salary package offered was the 67.6 lpa,which the average stood at 12.1 lpa average.
The students were placed and the average salary for b.tech student graduates while for m.tech graduates it was INR 11 lpa .

- Good college enviornment and coding culture
- College fests are next level. Ragam and tathva are the best.

- A bit overworked. Compulsory attendance for some classes
- Humid and hot weather. You ll be sweating a lot here
- Administration is very bad. They even try to cancel our college fests

A moderate amount of companies come for placements. You are almost guaranteed placements if you put in some amount of work. Highest is around 47lpa. Average around 15lpa.
Oracle, Salesforce, Goldman Sachs, wellsfargo, sprinkler, etc are some of the top companies that will visit

- 300 Acer huge campus eco-friendly green campus. hostel are good some are old hostel but the new hostel mega hostel they are really good. although campus is not in the heart of Kozhikode city. we do have facilities nearby
- no 1 college in Kerala for engineering. nirf ranking of 27
- placement are great for computer science students

- placements are good for core branches like mechanical and electrical
- girls to boys ratio is very low. not many pretty girls
- I've noticed that substance use is present on my college campus

- Campus and its surroundings(clean).NITC campus is green campus and proper cleaning is done.
- Tech and cultural Fests.NIT Calicut is famous for its cultural fest called Ragam(which is the biggest cultural fest in kerala) and Tech Fest tathva
- Labs and Facilities are very good.They are well maintained.I basically belong to electrical engineering and machines are properly maintained and working properly

- Plcements.For Computer science branch there is almost 100 percent placement.But for other branches it is not that much great.Only 40 percent of students from eee are placee till now.
- frequent strikes.(conflicts between students and administration)
Placement Experience:
For CS placements are great.Almost 100 percent students are placed with median ctc of around 20LPA.Im not sure about highest CTC (will be around 55).For other branches placements are not that good.Core companies visiting are very less and their ctc is also less.Most of eee and ece students are placed in it companies.Qualcomm which is the best company in electronics domain has only selected mtech students for hardware role.Thats why I'm preparing for gate and trying to get an mtech degree in microelectronics or integrated circuits which is the best option for eee or ece engineers.

- College campus is nice,clean and big.it also has gym and swimming pool.
- College is great at education and it is tier 1 college.there is no ragging
- For sports it has badminton court, table tennis, basketball, volleyball. Every hostel has indoor sports

- There is reservation for Kerala students,so Kerala has more students than every other state students
- Here girl to boy ratio is 3:1 , not Many girl are here
- It has activate point system which is very bad

Companies like nvidia,intel other company Is also visited
Highest package is 50 lpa and average package is 18 lpa

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-
- The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
- There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
- The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
- There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
- During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.
NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
