Course Curriculum Overview

4

i choose eee over other branches because of its opportunities after graduation..we can go to private or public sector according to our wish.Compared to ece more PSUs are there in electrical domain. The syllabus isvast and it is the toughest branch in engineering. We need to study both electrical and electronics subjects.Electrical core subjects like power electronics, power system etc are very hard to understand

Internships Opportunities

5

here getting internship is harder than getting placements. Many companies like texas, qualcomm, etc came for internships but only a few got selected. Most of the students did internship in offcampus. Most of the students selected for internship in top companies got PPO.TEXAS offered a stipend of 80k per month ig.

Placement Experience

4

For CS placements are great.Almost 100 percent students are placed with median ctc of around 20LPA.Im not sure about highest CTC (will be around 55).For other branches placements are not that good.Core companies visiting are very less and their ctc is also less. Most of eee and ece students are placed in it companies.Qualcomm which is the best company in electronics domain has only selected mtech students for hardware role.Thats why I'm preparing for gate and trying to get an mtech degree in microelectronics or integrated circuits which is the best option for eee or ece engineers.

Fees and Financial Aid

We pay the fee after each semester, which is 66500 per semester .Scholarships are available for financially weaker students and SC/ST students.Students having annual income less than 1 lack are exempted from paying tuition fess, while those with an annual income below 5 lack only need to pay one-third of the tuition fee.Still tuition fee is high compared to colleges under KTU(kerala technical universities) and comparable with top private colleges. But cheaper than IITs.It will cost around 8 to 9 lacks for four years including mess and hostel fees.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is the most attracive feature of NITC.It is a vibrant and dynamic community.NIT is famous for its cultural fest RAGAM which is one of the biggest cultural fests in south India and its tech fest TATHVA.Many technical clubs like UNWIRED,Robotic interest group,AERO UNWIRED,GOOGLE DEVP CLUB etc gives you exposure in that domain. Many other clubs like Dance and dramatics club,Music club etc are also there.

Hostel Facilities

4

i didnt take any PG .Im staying in hostel since first year.it is affordable I guess.2400 rs per month. In first year there will be 4 students per room, second and third year there will two students per room. For final year you will get single room.Rooms are okaying.New mega rooms are great but if you get other hostel, not that good

Admission

I applied for NIT TRichy but didnt have enough jee mains rank to get in.However I'm planning for higher studies. For students like me NIT is not a great option as it demands huge fee.I got ECE in CETwhich is second-best college in kerala and is much cheaper than nitc. And now I regret not choosing CET

Faculty

2

Faculty to student ratio is 1:40.Actually most of the faculties are useless. If you ask me to say name of faculties I like ,it will be all about electronics, neso akademy ankit goyal etc..I'm not blaming all faculties but majority is teaching just for money

Night Life

5

We have curfew here ..but no one cares about that.Wardens are not that strict(I'm talking about boys only). We used to drink chai from outside and roam around at 3 o clock. So nightlife is great.Famous hangout place during that time is THEEPPETTI which is famous for its mint black tea..i love that

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the college is very active. You can get internships starting 2nd year and placements starting 3rd year. About 75% of people get placed. Many MNCs like Texas Instruments are consistent hirers. The highest package of 2025 for my course is 1 crpa. The average is about 7 lpa. A student can get 5,6 offers. I plan on higher studies abroad because I want to learn more in-depth about the course.

Placements are really good. Since college is related to ISRO maximum students with cgpa above than 7 are elligible for ISRO interviews and are selected based on their performance. Apart from ISRO many campanies like Texas Instruments, UTS, Mercedez , also come here for recruuitment. Many also opt for M.tech and MBA after graduation

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Remarks:

I only have postive thoughts about that campus. The campus helped me to remove my pre-occupations, inhibitions, fear etc. It gave a lot of memorable moments, large number of friends. The most special thing about the college is those memorable friendships with the faculties whos understand students very well.
