Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .

Dislikes

In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

NITC GENIUNE REVIEW

Likes

I like the college very much and the hostel food is also decent and good
When it comes to sports there are a lot of options to play
We can get sufficient time to play sports and relax

Dislikes

Some network issues are there to be resolved
Some cooperative stores had to be arranged in hostels for easy access of stationary etc

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is as same as of the mechanical students it differs by one subject the curriculum has to be little bit diverse for effective understanding and teaching method was good in classes and in labs also

NITC:Where enjoyment is

Likes

Nitc conducts marvelous fests such as thathwa and ragam, and that's a time to enjoy college life
Campus life is good, there is so many place to hang out in the campus surrounding itself
Infrastructure is good and facilities are great

Dislikes

No gap between exams actually, exams finish within one week
They conduct the fests either before or after 1-2 week of exams.
Not affordable by everyone, i think they should reduce the fees

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is the best for one who chose to work in the teaching field. Who wouldn't love if you got a bachelor degree both in science and education? The options are maths, physics and chemistry. We also went to a nearly school to observe the classrooms.

My honest Opinion

Likes

The faculty is more experienced and pays attention to the students as we come to my course it is more interactive with the faculty
The campus life would so so beautiful and many events going to happen in the campus and u can be placed also in the college clubs if u are interested in them
The curriculum and the facilities are changing for every year to match the need to the outer world that is one thing which i really like

Dislikes

Regarding the placements of the department of architecture, we really have lesser placements comparitive to the other departments , i think students nedds more opportunities to show their skills

Placement Experience:

Mostly the students get placed in the final year that is 4rth year for the btech and 5th year for the barch Comparitive to the other departments the barch has lesser opportunities in the placements and the average salary would be 3 lakhs to 5 lakhs. I want to study masters after getting the degree may in some iits

NIT Calicut- Through the eyes of a fresher

Likes

The class hours are low. 4hrs per day class and 2 labs per week. It hels us to concentrate on our own interests.
The Professors are responsible, resourceful and friendly. They have years of experience and are ready to help.
The sports facilities are great. There is a ground for football, Cricket, Volleyball and all other kinds of sports. There is a gym inside campus.

Dislikes

Some of the professors are a bit grumpy. They wont provide internal marks properly.
The lab staff are a bit disorganised, their behaviour also is not appreciable towards students.
The Mess food is a bit dull. Only chicken is given for non veg every day.

Placement Experience:

Placement in our college is reputed and presentable as per institutional standards. Highest package offered was Rs.50 Lack in 2023. This year it has chances of going higher. There was history of 100 percent placement in 2022.

Very Eco friendly,lots of greenery,Big campus.
Have 1 month break after odd sems,3 month break after even sems.
only around 3 to 4 hours class per day (plus labs)

Dislikes

Academic Pressure,Hectic Curriculum.completes a sem in 4 months
girls to boys ratio of 1:4.There are only girls to fill the female quotta
Dictator like atitude of Management and admins

Placement Experience:

From S7 itself students start getting placed.From S5 students get internships ,and then excellent of those students get PPO s from that companies. 208 companies visited NITC last year.1080 offers were made for 2025 graduants,187 internship for offered.out of the 1080 ,736 were for for UGs 344 for for PG.out of 862 UG students registered there were 736 offers made , percentage 85.38... max salary for UG is 50.64 LPA ,avg Salary is 12.41,median Salary is 9 LPA...for PGs 65.77 perecntage offers were made 523 studnets ..max salary offered was 39.27 LPA and avg Salary is 11.41 ,median Salary is 10.Computer science got 96.77 percentage.Larsen and Toubro is the company made most offers with 61 offers.Baja Auto and Chetak limited made 19 offers, Amdocs made 21 offers .Adani group 12,Aditya BIRLA 11,Accenture A,mazon ,BEL ,Caterpillar also made offers

A medium enjoyed NIT college

Likes

the fests are really amazing,we enjoyed a lot in those events.
Campus is full of greenary, and very peaceful.
Faculty explanations are top notch,such a great thing.

Dislikes

No much involvement in sports,always run towards academics.
Too much of couples,making distraction to others,making uncomfortable.
Food is not bad,more lean towards the kerala style items.

Placement Experience:

Placements are better this year when compared with the last year. Last year was not up to the mark due to evolvement of AI, recession, and all other stuff.We got companies like Oracle, Salesforce,Increff, etc..

faculty members are highly qualified and experienced and overall teaching experience is excellent
students can get funding of upto 1 lakh for innovative projects under students innovative projects (SIP) scheme.
beautiful campus with better hostel facilities. Single rooms will be alloted in final year. every room is occupied with WiFi routers

B Tech Engineering Physics in NIT Calicut is more aligned with masters level focus on physics rather than in electronics domain and its syllabus differ from that of IITs.s from
institute requires improvement in sports facilities

Placement Experience:

Overall NIT Calicut has good placment statistics, with an average CTC of aroung 12 Lakh per annum. Major recruiters include companies like Amazon, Dell, Texas Instruments, IBM etc. In Engineering Physics, only a few students participate in placements. While companies like Texas Instruments offers roles in electronics domain, most oppurtunites are in software development and data analysis. Additionally, IIT JEE coaching centers recruite students for trainee faculty positions. Internship oppurtunities are available from third year, and final placements occurs from fourth year. the minimum salary offered is 6 Lakhs per annum.

I appreciate the climate of the college and course curriculums of M.Tech.
College life is very nice and there will be so many social interactions and faculty interaction is also good. Faculty will teach very nice and they are very knowledgable.
Many big companies will visit the college and on an average every company will select 5 to 10 people.

Dislikes

College politics and respective state people domination
sometimes feel stress while working under project guide but not everytime
There is not much details for disliking the college

Placement Experience:

from 2nd semester onwards, students are eligible for the internships and placements. Companies like Samsung, IBM, Texas, NVIDIA, Intel, UTS, etc.... visited our college and on an average 50 to 60 offers made. Highest package offered is TEXAS which is 39.5LPA for both analog & digital role and average package is 18LPA

Over qualified faculty with in depth knowledge
Really clean and well maintained campus with easy transportation facilities

Dislikes

College is way out of main town. Urban development facilities are mot easily available.

Placement Experience:

My branch is not an industry placement oriented branch. But placements are offered for higher studies into famed foreign institutes. I plan to pursue MS and PhD from abroad in quantum and theoretical physics.

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-

The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.

NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
