Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is as same as of the mechanical students it differs by one subject the curriculum has to be little bit diverse for effective understanding and teaching method was good in classes and in labs also

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 125000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I am paying around 125000 per year tution fees and 60000 hostel fees and I will be paying the same amount for the four years of my graduation for sc and st students the fees is around 9000 for hostels

Campus Life

The overall college experience was great all the events and fests were exceptionally good and coming to clubs there are so many veraities of clubs and workshops are there to be part in and was a very great experience with them and they also help us in finding a job easily with some prior experience

Hostel Facilities

Our hostel has 3 person rooms and the food was good they provide south indian thali and they provide non-veg dialy like chicken and fish they tastes good and fresh registration process was also very easy for mess and hostel We have a common room facility in our hostel we can hangout there by playing board games and table tennis etc

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

I opted this college because this is an institute of national pride and top nit and also the weather here in kerala was great also I opted for al the top 5 nit's but couldn't made it because of my low grades in Joint Entrance Exam so I managed to enter this college

Faculty

I like professional communication professor in my first semester as she was very good at teaching stuff and she was very friendly and my Engineering graphics professor Simon peter he was exceptionally good at teaching what childrens need rather than simply teaching the curicullum

Night Life

I didn't went outside much during nights but yeah in college there are so many places to hangout we are allowed to play games during night time also which is appreciable and hostel timings are morning 4AM to night 10:30PM campus is safe to roam during night times, cafes are closed by 10:30 or 11PM

The course is outdated from real world. Old sytems of automobile technology is in our syllabus.Upadation of syllabus is required. Make students more aware about the real world technology.The teaching method has to be changed. Reduce theory and add more lab sessions.

Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More

NITC Review Complete

I Joined NITC by writing JEE Mains.I also qualified JEE Advanced but didnt get enough ranks to get admission in IIT computer scinece course..The main reason i joined NITC is because i got CSE here.and the placements for CSE at NITC is better for core branches in IITs.Also I am from kerala ,so NITC is nearest to my house.To get into NIT you need to get a good rank in JEE mains.I got CSE here with a rank of OBC 3000 .MY JEE Advanced rank was around 5000 so i would nt get a good course in IITs...Read More

Engineering Physics at NIT Calicut : Academics, Campus life and opportunities

Apart from NIT Calicut, I also applied to CET Kerala, were I was admitted to ECE program. However, I choose NIT Calicut for its better campus exposure, research facilites and stronger placement oppurtunites. Addmission to Engineering Physics program at NIT Calicut requires qualifying JEE Mains examination, typically conducted twice a year, in January and April. I applied for NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, NIT Warangal, NIT Calicut, NIT Rourkela VLSI course. I got NIT Calicut VLSI based on my GATE score and category.
