A student's perspective

The course curriculum is good. It mostly covers the basics we need in the future endeavours . But there are some topics that are continuing from very long time which are practical at present times. i hope they would update the curriculum to give a picture on future technologies rather than old history.

There are few companies which offer internships of different types like summer internships, internships which we can substitute for our final year project. Google, Samsung, Sandisk and few other companies has offerd internships with stippend ranging from 90000 per month to none at all.

The students are eligible to partipate in placements in there final year of the college. The few big recruiters are Google , Samsung, Sandisk, Intel... The highest package in our batch is 42 lakhs and average package is around 16 lakhs.

Total fee including hostel and mess is 180000. But there is 66% off for studeents who has income below 5 lakhs for students with income above 5 lakhs has to pay full fee for students with income between 1-5 lakhs has 66% off for students with income below 1 lakh has 100% off.

Most of my college days I had to spend at home due to corona. But the couple of years i spent in the college are most memorable. We have biggest college fest in soth India which is Ragam. In our college we celebrate festvals all across the country as we have students from all over country.

The hostel rooms are pretty good. It has a cot, study table, ethernet cable for internet. the wash rooms are combined vut they are maintaned pretty well. the mess food is very good ,but the taste may not be suitable for everyone.

Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too.

There is one faculty for every 5 students and all are highly qualified . the exams are conducted 3 times in each semester. The exams toughness is depended on the subject.In generally the exams are reasonably tough. around 10-20% students fail to clear the exams.

No there are no group discussion or any other tests during admission its totally based on the rank scored in the JEE Mains exam. The JEE mains exam has pretty simple format contains multiple choice questions of three subjects -Maths, physics and chemistry.

There is no closing time for the hostels except for the first years. the gyms and and caffeterias are colsed pretty early but mostly we acn find students roaming around doing some kind of acctivities. The hang out place for us is volleyball court in front of E hostel.
