Faculty:

- the faculty to student ratio is quite got there are more professors then the students actually specially for BA honours group and teachers are extremely approachable they are very understanding and their help a student develop their Idea and understanding of the subject very well. - all the faculties were pretty approachable and great but for first trimester at least a professor of narrative that was Ammel Sharon and professor of my major that is Chandrabhan Yadav for history were pretty good, they both were the most easy to understand and always ready to compromise for us to understand and get a better understanding of the subject. - There were no such faculties - exams are constant here, you get into the campus and two weeks into it you have to give your first midterm or that's what happened at least for us. This is a constant for NLS students.

Faculty:

So the batch of 2029 has around 300 students, with each section having 60 students and 4 professors for different courses, so yeah significant attention is paid, however, you can be easily ignored in class once you start piling up your readings. The academics are hectic, with a deadline almost each week due to the continuous evaluation system. There is almost something going on on campus, and to survive you'll have to manage your time really well. The exams are hard, like really hard, but it's doable if you have sincerely done your reading the entire trimester, the one-night cram does not work here. Due to the continuous evaluation pattern NLS follows the marks are divided into various small components, let's say there's this economics course then the mid-term is for 30 marks, the end term is for 30 again, and the advisory assessment is for 40 marks. Similarly, in torts, we had 10 marks for mid-term, 40 marks for moot, and 50 marks for end-term. It's different for different subjects with faculty deciding the same.

Faculty:

The faculties at NLS are really good. They are highly trained in their process of teaching and push students to think critically of the law. Most of the professors have completed their PhD or have done LLM. The faculty-to-student ratio is also decent being 1:60. The lower size of the class and division into sections allows professors to engage with every student and know them well. It allows for more interactive teaching and makes class discussions thoughtful. The professors also have slots for office hours wherein we can go and speak to them about the course, any issues we face, project consultations, and even suggest ideas and give feedback related to the course.
