The faculty plays important role in shaping a student life in a professional and a trajectory way for the better career in the future, which he going to put his step in. Law faculty typically consists of experienced professors, legal practitioners and scholars with diverse expertise in various branches of law. Complicity of exams are good its not that hard and not that easy also it totally depent on how much student is studied for the exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly college fee was 30000 and it was needed to pay in 2 semester. Each semester student needed to pay 15000. There was also scholarship for the ST and SC students which was given by the university itself. Also apart from the college fee, student also needed to pay development fee which was 500 and gymkhana fee which was around 300 so it was 15800 per semester. For every student in my batch has to pay this amount.

Placement Experience

There was no placement or retirement drive taking place in the college. Even for internships, I had to analyze and search for places to apply online and offline. After finishing my masters, my next step was to gain some insight into the real world so, I started applying to firms where I could begin working.

Course Curriculum Overview

Generally, colleges offer one year for my course but the Government Law College is scheduled for two years. As per the syllabus is concerned, it was exhaustive. It was an intensive two years of studies that were impalacable. While one assignment would finish, the other was lined up for the students.

This degree enhances one's repute as the course signifies advanced, specialized legal training and it also signifies that a person is qualified to work in a multinational legal environment. Overall the course is little stressing and hectic as the course involves so much part of theory.

Ques. Is there any value of doing MBL (Masters of Business law) from NLSIU, Bangalore?

● Top Answer By Praniti Pathak on 28 Sept 21

Ans. If you are looking at the course from the perspective of its acceptability in the industry, then honestly it does not rank very high in the list. It can not be even fully considered a proper Masters in Law degree. One of my friends studied it and here’s what she has to say about it. Masters in Business Law (MBL) is not a full-time LLM course. You cannot take UGC-NET on the basis of this degree. It is quite an expensive course. Not only the course fees but they take additional fees like Rs. 500 for each subject. They have a continuation fee of Rs. 2500. The books suggested are also not elaborate enough to learn about the course. They lack content. There is no transparency in checking answer sheets. If you want your answer sheets rechecked, it will cost you Rs.800 for each paper. Therefore it is recommended that you do not opt for this course, as it is not an LLM course. The only thing credible about it is the tag you receive from NLSIU.Read more

Ques. What is the scope and benefit of the Masters in Business Laws (MBL) course from NLSIU?

● Top Answer By Esha Bose, on 25 Oct 21

Ans. Masters in Business Law (MBL) from NLSIU is not UGC recognized. If you are an average student willing to pursue this, it is suggested that you look for other options. This is because passing is a tiring task here., it will gradually become harder to drag it for the remaining years. You also have to pay an extension fee of INR 5000 every year. There are better courses available. Do some market research and then apply, do not get excited with just the brand name NLSIU. This course also has no market value. Companies prefer regular courses or professional courses.Read more

Ques. How difficult is the MBL offered by NLSIU?

● Top Answer By Shreya Das, on 25 Oct 21

Ans. The Masters in Business Law (MBL) course from NLSIU is not difficult but the course work is more rigorous than LLB coursework.  Law as a subject in itself requires a thorough readership and effort to get into every detail. It offers 10 subjects. Students with a working background could find it difficult to tackle both sides. The questions asked in the exams are straightforward compared to the question papers that are set for the regular course students. Most of the students who fail in the examination are because they are working so taking out time from their schedules to study for exams becomes hectic. However, if you are interested in doing the course then it is highly recommended.Read more
