The space in the campus is quite small it's a 23 acre so there are times when you don't have space to study or specially good group study. Also it constantly rains and there is no closed place for all students to meet like there is no auditorium
Food is also not so good literally degrades with every month in a trimester

Admission:

- I give you and got into indraprasth College of women under Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University I choose this college because I was going to study BA honours in all three and I felt that this one was comparatively more comprehensive and more rigorous then other two. - I also give CLAT but I was not able to perform very well in that except that I got into the colleges I applied for its just that I found NLS better than them and that's why I stayed here. -TO GET ADMISSION IN NLS YOU EITHER HAVE TO GIVE CLAT IF YOU WANT TO ENTER AS A LAW STUDENT AND YOU HAVE TO GIVE NLSAT IF YOU HAVE TO ENTER AS A UNDERGRADUATE BA STUDENT THERE ARE ALSO EXAMINATIONS FOR THE MASTERS DEGREE UNDER MPP AND LLB AS WELL AS LLM. FOR UNDERGRADUATING COURSES YOU NEED TO COMPLETE YOUR 12TH WITH MINIMUM OF 45% AND FOR THE POSTGRADUATE COURSES SPECIALLY FOR LLB YOU NEED TO HAVE A UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE. AND AS NLS HAS A COMPARATIVELY REGRESS ADMISSION PROCESS ITS A LITTLE HEART TO GET IN HAIR SPECIALLY THROUGH CLAT as it only take the top students basically top 100 students of CLAT in. Admission process is comparatively request but once you get in everything is smooth going and you get all the information through the college

NLSIU: An Insider View

Likes

The campus is best in diversity, the crowd is diverse and literally the best of the best.
The campus is going through a major expansion project and the updates are something to really look forward to, the infrastructure is state of art and they've made the campus accessible for everyone.
NLSIU literally has the best faculty, most professors rely on Socratic method of teaching, engaging class in thought provoking discussions.

Dislikes

The administration is sometimes very arbitrary and takes decisions without consulting the student body, and charges students for literally everything!
The network connectivity in hostels in really bad, you somtimes might have to leave you room to make calls, therefore heavy dependency on wifi (which is very slow most of the times)

Admission:

So for admission into the NLUs, you gave to give CLAT. I took CLAT in December 2023 and secured a reputable rank which got me into NLSIU in the general category. For the general category, the university accepts admissions up to rank 100 (a safe rank) however, it varies for different categories, the information for the same can be accessed on their respective websites. While applying for CLAT we had to prepare a preference list, I had NLSIU on my no 1 so I got the same. Anyone who has appeared for 12th or is appearing in the current year can apply.

Admission:

Admission process is through CLAT. The registration can be done through the consortium for CLAT's website. The exam is conducted once every year and is based on logical reasoning, English, math, legal reasoning and GK.

Inside NLS- Hear from Its Own

I really liked the structure of courses throughout the five years. They are also rigorous with constant connections to study material, projects and critical end term exams. The professors are highly trained with well-equipped knowledge of the law.
The NLS classrooms are well built to facilitate Socratic method of teaching. They are equipped with ACs, and projectors. The newly rebuilt NLS library is one of its kind with books across streams and courses.
I also appreciate the opportunities that NLS opens up for its students in several ways including internships, placements, publications, and its strong alumni network. The alumni network has to be separately appreciated for the help they provide to us

Dislikes

The administration could be more supportive to the students in numeral ways, whether regarding residence life, participation in extra curricular activities by providing attendance condonation.
The campus life at NLS used to be more engaging in the past with many events taking place and lesser restrictions that allowed student body to enjoy campus life.

Remarks:

Nlsui is the best law university in the whole of India it’s super hard and competitive to get in as it only has 80 seats and only the best rank holders get into it, this was the reason I took it up as a challenge to get into this law college and I don’t regret a second of it.

How many marks should I get in the CLAT for getting an admission into Nalsar and NLSIU?

The marks required for getting admission change every year as the level of difficulty also changes each year.

According to some of my friends studying there, CLAT sets a tough paper one year and an easy paper the next year and vice versa. However, this should not be taken for granted.

If the paper is tough, then a score of 120-135 is enough to get admission to both colleges.
If the paper is easy then you need to score around 170-185 for securing the admission.
Basically, you need to be in the top 120 students of the CLAT test takers to secure admission and what is the actual score will depend on the level of difficulty of the paper.

Do not think of a particular score while attempting CLAT as this will hamper your chances. You should aim to give your best and attempt any number of questions you think are possible on your part.

Can I crack CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) and get into NLSIU or NALSAR after taking Science in 12th?

If you want to appear for CLAT, it does not matter what stream you were following in your higher secondary years. CLAT does not check your knowledge about a particular stream but it tests your aptitudes.

If you work hard then you will definitely be able to get the admission nod from NLSIU or NALSAR.
Since you are in your 10(+2), manage your time carefully between preparing for your board exams and preparing for CLAT.
You must have a strong foundation in general knowledge, legal aptitude, English, mathematics or quantitative aptitude, and logical reasoning if you want to appear for the CLAT.

The exams tend to be very competitive and they are not as easy as they look. Try to take mock exams and solve the questions of the previous years to get acquainted with the pattern in which the exams are held.

Can I crack the CLAT 2022 if my LST mock scores are approximately 50? I am improving them but as there is only 4 months left, can I make it to NLSIU?

It may not be the amount of time left that would be sufficient to crack the CLAT exam, but the utilization of the time left will surely give an edge over other things.

There are various people who have cleared the CLAT examination with just one month of preparation and there are also few people who have taken more than 2 years.

So, in 4 months’ time, one can make out a proper strategy for themselves, prepare a well-structured timetable and stick with it. Give more time to your weak areas and master your strengths. You should prepare and give mocks hand to hand.

It would be advised to give as many as possible. Also, make sure to analyze the mock results. You should accordingly make changes to your studying strategy.

The key to success is hard work. It may do wonders, therefore it is advisable to utilize your time well and keep pushing for a little more hard and smart work.

What should be the score in the mock test for getting into NLSIU Bangalore for the CLAT 2022?

Over the years, the cut-off varies a great deal between 115 to 160. It depends on the difficulty level of the paper set. Moreover, your focus should be on the rank rather than the score.

You should be able to obtain a higher rank than others in order to secure admission to the top 3 law schools. The cut-off for CLAT (2015) was 125 whereas for CLAT (2020) was 153. Start working in the right direction and you shall achieve it. Try scoring a 140+, as it will keep you on the safer side.

CLAT cutoff for the NLSIU basically depends on various factors, one of which is the difficulty level of the paper. Yet, for being on the safe side, you should expect nothing less than 155+ in case the paper is easy and no less than 140+ in case the paper is difficult.
