The fee structure is not so high in NITK. The tution fee for students without any kind of reservation is 80000. There are so many benefits for reserved students. They will provide financial aid. There are scholarships for both reserved and unreserved students like merit based, mean based, merit cum mean based scholarships

Actually , Fee Structure depends on the family income if the family income is below 1 lakh there will bw no tution fee if family income is in between 1 to 5 lakhs there will only 1/3 of tution fee will be taken and if income greater than 5 lakhs whole tution fee will be taken , There is actually 5% incresement of college fees every semester there is mainly 3 types of fees mainly tution fee , other fees and hostel+mess fees , tution fee depends on family income but other fees and hostel+mess fees are fixed for all students. scholarships are there but statewise mainly people get but as i am from bihar and my state gives scholarship to students ,whose family income is less than 1 lakh ,only .and there are some scholarship which are private like reliance who take a test for there scholarships.

The fee structure is common for all the general obc and general ews students it takes nearly 1.2 l per semester including the hostel if you are from sc Or st u get direct fee remission u just need to pay hostel fees. Various types of scholarships are available in nitk.
I am from general category student. For me there was no fee remission . I did not apply for any scholarship, because I did not need it . Our campus placement is very good it was 97% overall for UG students.
We have to pay all types of fees at the starting of the semester. The tuition fee is 83000 per sem But with an income certificate of less than 1lac will have to pay 1/3 rd fee An income certificate of 1 to 5 lac will have to pay a 2/3 fee. And there are lots of scholarship based on category , grade in 1st sem
I have availed a scholarship in which i jad cradit of 24000 every year for 4 years period. There are many other type of scholarship for the student Which help them in their higher studies and internships and college expenditures.
We have two banks in our college and they give us loan which is for education loan and they provide the loan with minimum interest so we are comfortably studying without any financial burden to our parents

There is no clear winner in this comparison. If you are interested in Mining Engineering and want to learn fundamental and core technicalities, then NIT Surathkal will be better. As an institute, NITK is better than other engineering colleges in Karnataka. It offers better academics, exposure, facilities, and campus life. For Mining, NIT Surtahkal placements are great. Coal India visits NITK for recruiting students. The average CTC received by the students of this bench is INR 5-6 LPA.
But if you aren’t particularly interested in Mining Engineering, then you should choose CSE at PES University. In the current industry landscape, CSE offers better placements with cushy salary packages.
