Campus is too small. and because of open campus you have to face some difficulty.

Placement Experience:

In the end of 4th sem you become eligible for the internship..and at the end of 6th sem you become eligible for the campus placement.. Companies like AMAZON, ATLASSIAN, ADOBE visit the college. the hoghest package was offered by the atlassian is of 83 lpa and was grabbed by 6 students..

No park area no park area to sit No park area
No canteen to sit where you can eat with your friends
Very hard question paper according to teachers class notes

I opted for bachelor of technology as a I had interest in that student is 127 their teaching methods is good and are very intelligent but you should study by yourself too Semester exams is within 5 months

The environment and cleaniness of nit Jamshedpur
The seniors of our college are very supportive
The inter branch students bonding and friendship

Dislikes

I disliked the teaching style of professors. They tech very slowly initially but when exam comes they teach soo fast
The strictness in checking copy of our exams
There are no proper labs in our college which is very bad

Placement Experience:

Seventh and eighth semester students are eligible for campus placements. In our NIT Jamshedpur this year 2023 highest placement was 83 LPA and average placement was 15.98 LPA. Till now 98.87 percent students have been placed in our college.

Review of NIT JAMSHEDPUR

Placement stats are really good,NIT Jamshedpur stands in top 5 nits as far as placements are concerned
The classrooms are huge and well equipped.
The food quality in the mess has been good.

Dislikes

The NIRF ranking of the college is too low.
Some of the campus amenities like gym are absent.
Some of the labs in the campus are not maintained well.

Placement Experience:

From 4th year the students will be eligible for placements.In the year 2023, around 250 plus companies had visited and 750 plus offers had been made.The highest package was recorded as 83 lakh whereas the average stands at 15 lakh ,the average package of CSE is 26lakh.The percentage of students placed are around 98.

here in nit jsr placements are better than any other nit in this range
you get single room from second year onward
going basti give you kick and it is awesome

infrastructure of this college is like shitt
nirf ranking is also like shit it is between 100-150

generally every students apply for companies in 3rd year some companies which visit nitjsr are -- amazon adobe flipkart gameskraft atlassian paypal paytm deshaw etc highest pacakage is about 83lakh by atlassian and average pacakage for cse is 26.66lakh and average pacakage is 15lakh girls are placed very easily but for boys it is difficult to get good pacakage. i dont know what to do after btech placements are good.

Hostels, mess, beautiful lecture hall DJLHC, beautiful and close to nature campus.

Dislikes

So many events that unable to manage time between studies and other activities

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in 4th year. In 3rd year internship opportunities are available. Many companies visit nit jsr like Atlassian, Microsoft, Amazon,IBM etc. There's many offers. Highest package until now is 83 lakh per annum. Average is around 8 lpa . 99% students get placed in nit jsr in most of the branches.

Infrastructure and maintanence, sports fest and cultural nights
Seniors are very good in colleges they support in each and every step mad guide you for the future
Best things is their is no ragging in the campus

Sometimes the pressure of exam is too much
Sometime some best event occur at time of end exam
Mess food is sometime too much bad it must be improved

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose btech computer science course because I am interested in these type of things like technology and computer . Faculty members are good they are highly qualified they all are PhD holder from different IITs and best way to teach . Term exam are held twice named as mid sem and end sem which took place almost every 3 month gap . Level of paper is sometime difficult for subject like chemistry, mechanics , math but overall teachers are good they give marks

As it has NIT tag and I belong to cse branch.
I must include academic building which is so much attractive.
Placement and faculty are awesome as per data.

Dislikes

Poor infrastructure, need to improve here.
Syllabus is major concern as it is too long to complete in too short time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As computer science is most demandable branch of this era. I am looking for IT sector job that's why I opt cse . Here faculty members are awesome they all are PhD holder which can be seen while they teach. We have to attend 2 exams one is mid sem which is of 30 marks total and second is end sem of 50 marks. As nit are topmost college of India so it is really difficult to pass In college as being topmost branch cse . There are extreme competition among the batchmates as we all are cream students of nation.

Placements at NIT JAMSHEDPUR is very good especially for Computer science and engineering branch
Here seniors are very helping and always guide juniors in every field
Campus Life is also decent your four year will not go much boring

Dislikes

Infrastructure are still developing. We don't have auditorium in our college
75% attendance is must in our college which is huge task for many students

From the third year students are eligible for internship and from fourth year students are eligible for campus placements. Their are a lots of companies that visit aur college every year . Top recruiters are atlasian and many more. My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.

Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.

Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.

Academics

The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.
