Course Curriculum Overview

I choose btech computer science course because I am interested in these type of things like technology and computer . Faculty members are good they are highly qualified they all are PhD holder from different IITs and best way to teach . Term exam are held twice named as mid sem and end sem which took place almost every 3 month gap . Level of paper is sometime difficult for subject like chemistry, mechanics , math but overall teachers are good they give marks

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is quit similar to other nits college but they provide fee remission so it will be easy for student who don't afford the fees and their are so many scholarship available in campus which give scholarship on the basis of board marks and your capabilities. Campus provide you all facilities regarding fee structure it approximately goes up to 1 lakh for general category for 1sem and if you belong to other reservation category then your tution fees is not included in fee structure

Campus Life

Campus life is good in college their are so many fest conducted in very month like cultural fest , urja fest , ojass fest and these are took place in November month and before the end sem so students can enjoy life and study well. Their is a central library in campus in which all books are available for study and you can easily issued for 14 days and some magazine newspaper and so on . The sports fest are named as urja fest which include different sports like volleball, cricket, basketball, table tennis, badminton, chess and so on . Their are so many clubs like technical.club like pcon which is the biggest technical club and some web development club , innoreva for robotics , team daksh for riders and so many clubs

Admission

For admission you need to crack jee main exam with a rank below 10000 for CSE Branch and thus participate in josaa/csab counseling round and give their preference to this college and some other necessary conditions like atleast 75%in board exam and thus your admission process begins

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
