- The college has quite a good academic building but the hostels are old and not very well maintained
- The crowd is nice and quite competitive, people are smart and quite sharp
- The professors are a bit on a stricter side however some are quite chill, they might make you work hard in order to score good
Dislikes
- Hostel and mess food is not up to date, often we face issues like insects in mess food or stale vegetables being served.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for internship after 4th semester , after 6th semester the companies start coming for regular placement
For cse the average was around 20 lpa with median being 16-17 lpa
Companies that generally visit are - atlassian, Amazon, flipkart , BNY Mellon, cisco, Texas Instruments etc
Around 140 offers were made and in a batch of 120, 100 have secured placement
Placement percentage is around 92%
Highest package - 65 lpa atlassian (on campus)
1.23 cr rubrik (off campus)
Lowest package - 7 lpa
Average - 18 - 20 lpa

- I liked the living standard and experience college provided.
- Everything you can get easily, as the market is just next to the main gate.
- Coding culture is also a very good point, student consider themself fine than other college.
Dislikes
- Open campus is a point I didn't like as it could be a vulnerable point of security for he girls.
- Water issue is a very big concern to be improved in our college, hope the time by I am writing it may have been sorted.
- Student council has no big influence and role in raising student voice and standing for students rights.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course curriculum is not much updated, same 8085 microprocessor and controller is being taught, and not much updated to the recent technology , also in my batch web technology was taught in 7th sem which should be taught in 2nd or 3 rd I guess, so that the thing which company looks for , a student can easily get that thing into his/her practise, but they will keep teaching same old curriculum, mostly student prepare themself apart from college courses for company visit and placement.

- I like the placement statistics of the college which attracts various students , which is very good even for core branches.
- The college life is not that happening lest you find good friends with whom you can hangout and enjoy.
- The DJLHC is the best building in the college , and the classroom experience is very good.
Dislikes
- No night life in the college, and lack of canteens and good food options.
- The college is an open campus so people from outside too roam around the college which is quite unsafe for some people
- The library, and TSG building of the college close at 9 p.m. so you have to go back to your hostels early.

The placements of the college is the most attractive part , and for core branches it is more than 90% too.
The students from 5th semester become eligible to sit in internships and from 7th semester onwards they can sit for campus placements
Companies like Accenture, Deloitte visit the campus and number of offers remains more than 500+
Highest package is 82 lpa and the average is 12.63 lakhs
The percentage of students placed is more than 90%

- I love the campus of my college. It has a big campus for students.The campus also very well organised.
- The faculty of my department is very appreciable.They are very helpful in case of academic problem.
Dislikes
- The mess food is very bad. The weather of the city is very hard to tolerate specifically in summer.
- The transportation services near the college is very poor. Hardly any food stall has been found around the college.
Placement Experience:
Placement is very impressive in this college. It has approx 98% placement rate. Campus placement is available in this college most of the students are placed in campus placement. If any student didn't get campus placement they get many opportunities by college to get an off campus placement.

- Nice lush, green campus that allows us to wander all around.And there's also a messy café where you can go and chitchat with friends
- The academic curriculum is very destructive and course oriented it is It is made so that the students get complete access to the market environment and are fully acquainted to the placement competitive interviews and get placed in good companies

The placement of this institute is very high class as almostly. All the students get well placed with very high packages and the highest package is 82 lakhs per annum CTC and the average package is around 2225 lakhs wherever if I say, brunchwist branches get. A average package of almost 23 lakhs. And the core branches, they have an average package of 10 to 15 lakhs.

- Placements are quite well here the highest package for computer science department was 83 lakhs per annum with an average of 27lpa . Placements of various core branches are also other than many tier 1 universities
- Seniors are supportive ,they will guide in your campus life as well as in coding.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure of this collage is not at like nit, you have only lecture hall and hostels and nothing.
- Campus life is soo boring here . you only have a single playground with no gym.

- Placement is pretty good for all branches .
- Campus is pretty huge and amenities are good too
- Locality is superb, people around campus are helpful like giving free rides to students.. haha
Dislikes
- Drinking water is not available in hostel or college lecture building.... you will have to buy drinking water from outside services.
- Campus is open , many people roam around in campus who are outsiders ...... in morning ground and roads are occupied by outsiders for working out ...
- It doesn't deserve NIT status , administration is fully corrupted, you can't question their actions or you will be targeted academically or also politically. In short its even worse than state government colleges. I am trying to be honest as i can

Students can apply for jobs in their 7th semester. Around 700 offers are made to students. Big companies like TATA, AWS, and Amazon hire from our college. This year, the highest salary offered was 83 LPA. In the Computer Science department, 97% of students find jobs, and other departments also have good placement rates, with over 90% of students getting jobs. The average salary for Computer Science students is 27 LPA, while the overall average salary is 15 LPA.

- First of all, 50% of students come here after seeing the hostel of this college which is very good in compare with other NITs
- Placement of this college is very good. And it is top 10 NIT according to placements.
- Classrooms are very good with well centralized AC and technologies are available in classroom.
Dislikes
- It have 300acres of campus but 75% campus is unused. And campus is very unstructured type. Also the campus is open and always you will see the public is passing through the road. Or people from outside is playing in the college ground.
- Physics, chemistry labs are very old type. It should be updated.
- Here you will not find any department wise buildings.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for placements in 7th semester.
Total number of offers made are around 700.
Many reputed company hires from our college such as TATA, AWS, Amazon,etc.
Highest package of this year was 83 LPA.
In CSE department, 97% of students get placed in our college. And rest other are also decent with above 90% placement.
Average package in CSE department is 27lpa. While overall average package is 15lpa.

- Infrastructure is very good and ac is everywhere in campus ,so u feel good in summer

- No places to visit in jamshedpur,there are very few places
- I think the teachers quality should be a bit low,faculty should be changed bit
- Cleanliness and food quality of the hostels are a bit low

I have desires and inspiration for computer science and engineering , so I have choose this course suitable for me.yeah course and curriculum is very good for us and perfectly reflects the real life applications.

- There are many clubs and extracurricular activities to keep one engaged

- It is an open campus so it’s unsafe after dark to be out alone

- Bootlicking is predominant around the college
Placement Experience:
Students get start getting placed on campus in their 7th semester for engineering jobs. These placements are coordinated by the training and placement cell of the institute. There are 27 LPA's and it is common for computer science students to get around 35 LPA's. For girls it is easier to get placements in companies for they have a girls quota.Companies like Amazon and google come and always take students from this college.

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.
Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.
Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.
Academics
- The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
- Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
- The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.
Placement Reports:
A few major recruiting companies are (in respective branches) as follows.

- ECE: Amazon, Oracle Finance, Wipro, Mahindra Comviva

FIITJEE, Rao Academy, Career Point, etc, are examples of coaching institutes that recruited as well. The highest package received was 30 LPA while the average salary was 12 LPA
Extracurricular Activities:
The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
