SHADES OF NIT JAMSHEDPUR.

Likes

The academic block of college was newly build with centralized ac in every classroom. Class rooms are neat and able to accommodate up to 120 members in the class room.
New hostel rooms will be provided for first years with single room for each.
Clubs for popular sports available in the campus.

Dislikes

Poor food quality , mostly the foods available are in north style.
South style food was very rare here. But good food for North Indians would be available.
Wi-fi problem was severe in the campus. Many complaints raised about it.

Internships Opportunities:

1.For summer internships companies like amazon , bajaj capital , tata steel, samsung, huskpower, tata metallics provide are available specifically for 3rd years. For 6-month internships companies like flipkart, qualcomm, smart coin , oracle , flexcar, tata cummins. 2. For software engineering and tech domains projects like scalable microservices for E-commerce platform by companies like amazon.

Very much Honest feedback. It took me 30 minutes.

Likes

Placements of core branches are also very good as compared to other NITs/some IITs.
Lush green campus, trees are planted very much.
Some professors are really very very good. They are of high calibre.

Dislikes

Some professors are very bad in character too.
Corruption is all when I see the poor development of infrastructure.
Inequality in branches can be seen often.

Internships Opportunities:

Many companies come like bny, JSW, Tata Steel, Visa etc...offers very much good placement and stipends for intership too. Companies come here for SDE roles, Data analytics roles and for core too. In Internship they give you project and if you are able to do that and impress them then they give you PPO many of my friends grabbed pre placement offer here.

College infrastructure including academic buildings, library and computer center.
Strong teaching pedagogy with highly qualified professors
A strong sporting and extra curricular culture.

Dislikes

Lack of internships opportunities provided by college
The placements are not in par with other NITs//IITS

Internships Opportunities:

As compared to final placements, only a few companies offer internships with only a few students landing internship opportunities. Internship opportunities could be improved by the college by placing a dedicated cell for the same.

Detailed review of nit jamshedpur

Likes

The college has quite a good academic building but the hostels are old and not very well maintained
The crowd is nice and quite competitive, people are smart and quite sharp
The professors are a bit on a stricter side however some are quite chill, they might make you work hard in order to score good

Dislikes

Hostel and mess food is not up to date, often we face issues like insects in mess food or stale vegetables being served.

Internships Opportunities:

Internship is offered after second year , many companies come for the internship. In non core the opportunities are better for cse and ece while mechanical and electrical have quite good internship scenario in core . Some famous companies Salesforce - 3.5 lpa for 2 months sde intern Atlassian - 3 lpa for 2 months sde intern Tata steel - 2-3 lpa for 3 months core

Best academic environment across all NITs
Best infrastructures and supportive seniors
Placement of the college is excellent and average package is getting increased day to day.

Dislikes

Classes scheduled are tough and it is difficult to manage.
Distance of the Hostels and classroom are slightly far.
Mess food quality are not too good and I should be improved

Internships Opportunities:

Interships in the college for the top branches like CSE, ECE, and electrical is really good. A lots of companies that come for the internship are Atlassian, adobe, cisco, jp morgan, etc with different roles like SDE, Analyst with a descent stipend.

since it a institution of national importance so its very good experience about the brand value
fests are very good here , very supportive seniors how will always helps you
very attractive placement for all the branches

Dislikes

too many classes and lab practicals and assignments
there is open campus and anyone can enter in the campus
the single placement policy is not good here

Internships Opportunities:

Yes there is internship oppirtunities in our college from the second year onwards . There is also 6 months and 2 months internships provided by the on campus coming companies . companis like TATA STEEL with a stiphend of 40000 and cisco with 80000 comes in our college

Our college is located approximately 5km from the tatanagar junction.provides best transportation from college to station.
My college atmosphere is good.teachers are very helpful and their behaviour like parents.teachers are teaches us conceptual style.
The quality of the infrastructure is modern.campus is very attractive and effective.my college have separate mess for girls and boys

details of the internship opportunities available with your college.many company have already visited in our college.our college is autonomous.many companies like rhi .Cisco tata steel and TCS .many students are doing internship.

I like the hostel facilities which id given to students
I like the main academic builiding in which we study
I like that the college is not that big campus

Dislikes

The college is open so anybody can roam in the college
This does not allow us to keep vehicle with us
The number of fest are ok as compared to other colleges

boys and girls are 5:1 for this course in this college.
Campus life is good , nice campus and interactive social life.
good placements and very nice package offered by companies.

Dislikes

classroom distance from hostel is 1km appoximate.
sometime internet not work properly but recovered very fast.
Nothing more , everything is awesome here ,nice structure of campus.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good enough many companies visited in campus every year. companies like amdocs,deloitte,genpact ,visa google etc. visited here. highest package rubrik 1cr+ which is awesome i think as software enngineer.

Hostel Life good and mess food need to improve

Very good infrastructure of campus and class rooms as well

Dislikes

minor internet issue but fixed in very short time
Classroom distance from hostel approx 1km
There is not enough time to explore everything

Internships Opportunities:

Role offered for internships are sde, ML ,Data science,devops, android and web development. Companies which provides internships are Genpact,Nexturn etc. Good projects which solved real world problems.
