My NIT!

I have chosen Computer science branch. This is because of my interest in computer more than others. Professors are enough as per students. They are all PhD level and teach well. Midterms were quite tough but upto the standards. It was passable

Many companies visit nit jsr offering placement and internship opportunities to the students like Atlassian, Amazon, Microsoft,IBM,etc. They offer jobs like software engineer, backend developer,etc. to the students.

Students become eligible for campus placements in 4th year. In 3rd year internship opportunities are available. Many companies visit nit jsr like Atlassian, Microsoft, Amazon,IBM etc. There's many offers. Highest package until now is 83 lakh per annum. Average is around 8 lpa . 99% students get placed in nit jsr in most of the branches.

Fee is quite high but with the provisions of tuition fee remission as per income of family it is affordable. Scholarships are available as well. I haven't applied yet but will be applying for nsp scholarship.

Culfest is the annual cultural fest being organised in November this year. Ojass is the annual tech fest being organised in November - December and URJA is the annual sports fest being organised in November. All kinds of academic books are available in the central library of nit jsr. Classrooms are well equipped with all amenities. Sports teams of all kinds of sports are there and interested students can play. Specific court for each sports is also there. All the groups be it cultural ,technical or sports are run by students only

I live in hostels. All the facilities required are available. Water, electricity are all available. Only trouble is internet facility. Meal is also great with a wide variety. Registration process is quite easy and vets done right on the day of admission.

I am admitted to NIT JAMSHEDPUR, An institute of national importance. To get into IITs and NITs we need to have scored 75% marks in 12th and qualify Jee mains for nit and jee adv as well for iit. Application form and rest other details regarding application for jee mains as well as adv are available on the site of NTA. I am under GEN-EWS category. It gives 10% seats reservation to students of this category. Admission process was fine.
