I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment. I applied for B.Tech in civil engineering from National Institute of technology Jamshedpur through JoSAA platform. One is eligible for josaa counseling if the individual have scored the cut off marks of JEE mains. I had no quota. I was a general category student. There was no age barrier to take admission to the college but there was minimum marks criteria - the student's score must be under top 20percentile in 12th boards exam and he must score the minimum cutoff marks set by josaa for NIT jamshedpur for different branches. Each branch has different cutoff marks. For getting into civil engineering branch you need to score minimum 150 marks in JEE mains.
