I disliked the teaching style of professors. They tech very slowly initially but when exam comes they teach soo fast
The strictness in checking copy of our exams

Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen this branch because I like coding. Faculty:student ratio is good. Faculties are well qualified but their teaching style is very bad. Exams are too frequent, twice in one semester. And it becomes hard to pass them because faculties do not teach well.

Internships Opportunities

As per our seniors, in our college very few companies come for internship. This year only one student from whole NIT Jamshedpur got internship in Atlassian. We heard from our seniors that this year many companies did not came in our college for internships and placements.

Placement Experience

Seventh and eighth semester students are eligible for campus placements. In our NIT Jamshedpur this year 2023 highest placement was 83 LPA and average placement was 15.98 LPA. Till now 98.87 percent students have been placed in our college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college give variety of scholarships. Students who have less family annual income get fee remission. If a students family income is less than 1 lakhs then he/she gets 100 percent fee remission. And students who are financially weak are getting bank loans.

Campus Life

Our nit jamshedpur conducts many events. But some big events are like urja (Sports fest) in month of November, Culfest (Cultural fest) in month of February and Ojass (Technical fest) in month of February.

Admission

I gave Joint Entrance Exam this year and last year as well. I cleared it and applied in Josaa counciling. It was very smooth. I got National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur and in that I got computer science and engineering branch. And here admission process was very good.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
