As it has NIT tag and I belong to cse branch.
I must include academic building which is so much attractive.
Placement and faculty are awesome as per data.

Dislikes

Poor infrastructure, need to improve here.
Syllabus is major concern as it is too long to complete in too short time.

Course Curriculum Overview

As computer science is most demandable branch of this era. I am looking for IT sector job that's why I opt cse . Here faculty members are awesome they all are PhD holder which can be seen while they teach. We have to attend 2 exams one is mid sem which is of 30 marks total and second is end sem of 50 marks. As nit are topmost college of India so it is really difficult to pass In college as being topmost branch cse . There are extreme competition among the batchmates as we all are cream students of nation.

Class Size: 125Course Fees: INR 850000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure can be vary as below 1.Sc category around 4lakh for betch. 2.obc/ews category around 8 lakh for betch. 3. General category around 10 lakh for betch. I didn't get any scholarship until now. But trying my best to get it soon.our college conducts several intership program both government and private.

Campus Life

Life is as normal as in different nit. Not many things to discover within the campus. Ya our college students council body organise many fest throughout the year like urja sport fest, which is interesting to get involved.both cultural or non cultural fest also be there. We are having also a library , which is quite decent as we get our courses book from there. I can't say anything about our infrastructure of college because it is poor , nothing good about infrastructure. Apart from this we have attractive academic building or heart ???? of our college.

Admission

I got admission in nit jamshedpur through jee mains. I obtained around 34k all India rank which is enough to get into nit jamshedpur in cse branch as being sc student. Jossa is conducted body via which online admission process held. I got cse branch in nit jsr in very early round of jossa. I didn't find any difficulties or inconvenience by jossa. Whole jossa process is student friendly.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . Detailed review of nit jamshedpur

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
