Dislikes

The campus’s remote location in Dhanbad limits certain off-campus opportunities.
The quality and variety of food in the mess can sometimes be disappointing.
Wi-Fi speed and coverage are inconsistent, causing inconvenience for students.

I liked the sports facilities and training provided to it
I liked the various technical clubs and competitions .
I liked the environment over here and the friends I made here

Dislikes

I hate the girls vs boys ratio and it is about 5:1
I hate the outing time which is till 10 'O clock at nights
I dislike my college of not having many branded food stores

Placements are good at our campus but due to recession it decreased in last year.But,now the placementa ar picking up pace and many students are getting pre-placement offers too with an average package of 15 lakhs

The library of IIT dhanbad is one of the best library in India.
Senior junior relationship and culture of the college
Clean and green campus of IIT ISM Dhanbad

Dislikes

Mess food is not so good sometimes i have to go to canteen for my dinner
Hostel rooms are very small only for 1st year students
Girls to boys ratio is too bad it is approximately 5:1

Placement Experience:

Placements of IIT Dhanbad is very good. We get opportunity for both core and IT sector jobs . Average package of the college is about 15 lakh and average package of ece is about 25 lakh and highest package was 66lpa . Companies like google, microsoft, Jaguar flipkart , meta ,NVIDEA comes for on campus placement

The best college I want ever.

Likes

The campus of the college is very greenery. It's feel like a heaven and also the infrastructure are very modern.
The faculties of college are highly qualified. All have done their doctorate from prestigious institutes of India even many have done from our of the country.
The placements records are too good. Placement percentage is about 90 percent and average package is 15lpa.

Dislikes

I dont dislike anything or about college. All are superb but something like some buildings should be reinnovate
Since this college is about hundred years old.so, some buildings should be re innovate.
The culture should be more simpler as possible.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for internship as they enter in 3rd year. More often placement starts at the fourth year. Approx all the big giant company like Google, Microsoft, Paytm, paypal, ongc, jpmorgan and many more companies come for giving offers. As I told earlier the average package is 15 lpa and the highest package for the last year was 1cr.

A freshers perspective about IIT ISM Dhanbad

Likes

Wide number of labs and modern technologies accessibility for students to explore there interests.
Different cultural and sports club to help the students improve their skills in field of interest.
Infrastructure is good and greenery is all around.Modern technologies are being used to make the studies more interesting.Seniors are helpful for helping the juniors in different clubs .

Dislikes

The mess food is not that good . Especially they provide a limited number of options for veg food.
Hostel room is very small. There is no facility of washing machine.
The boys to girls ratio in our college is 4:1.

Placement Experience:

Students from 3rd semester are eligible for internship.Students from 4th semester are eligible for campus placement. Companies like Google, Amazon, Phone pe, Flipkart, Tata steel, IBM, Microsoft, Walmart, Samsung come for placement. Previous year approximately 60% students got placed and this year highest package was Rs. 520000.

Review of IIT Dhanbad

Likes

I like the infrastructure of college , like heritage building, classroom.
Here, interaction between senior and junior is very good. They are very helpful.
Campus is very beautiful here. There is only greeneries in the whole campus.

Dislikes

Here, in my college boys vs girls ratio is around 4:1.
In first year hostel room is very small for 2 students.
Hostel food is not so much good here, not healthy.

REVIEW OF IIT ISM DHANBAD BY A FRESHER.

Likes

I liked the quality of the infrastructure. One of the building is I2H , it's infrastructure seems technical and all technical features present here .
There are various clubs for various fields here. I liked it most.
The campus looks natural and clean as there are many gardens, parks here.

Dislikes

I disliked mess food most. foods quality need to be improved here.
I disliked some of faculties here. They are not interacting among students.
I disliked the burden of syllabus here. There is many subjects that is not necessary according to me.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for applying campus placement in 4th year and internship from 3rd year. Various of companies come here to hire the students . Highest package is gone upto Rs.520000 and average package is offered approx RS. 180000. Arround 50% of students get placed here. I am planning to start my own Startup after getting my degree.

Let's talk about IIT (ISM) Dhanbad

Likes

Here seniors are very supportive. They guide us in every situation.
Approx 80 percent professor teach very well and they are also interactive with the students.
Here are various clubs available for personality development.

Dislikes

Sex ratio is very low as expected in IIT( approximately 1:4).
Campus is not so much large and it is very old.
In first year, hostels room are very small .

Placement Experience:

After 7th semester, students become eligible for the placement. Placement is average here . Highest package is approx 56 lakhs on campus and 1 cr offcampus. Various big tech companies like Google, microsoft, phonepe,flipkart,etc visit here and core companies also visit here like ONGC, CIL.etc.

Living the IIT Llife

Likes

The beautiful campus and campus life of our college.
The placements and internship opportunities provided in our college.
Regular meets and interaction with seniors.

Dislikes

The course plan of our semesters make our schedule very packed.
Hostel rooms for first year is very small.
The campus area with respect to other IITs are small.

Placement Experience:

Our college offers very good placements and also some good amount of packages to students. There are other opportunities also like entrepreneurship. If anybody has an innovative idea about starting a startup then our college pays funds to the individual as well as experts in his field guides him for future.

Living the IIT life.

Likes

There are too many clubs for interacting with others which will make a person confident in life.
We interact with our seniors and alumnis frequently which is very helpful in academics as well as life.
The campus is so big and green that one can easily live a green and healthy life. We also have a big gym for maintaining health with seperate rooms for boys and girls.

Dislikes

The academic schedule is too hectic which is bad as one can get very less time for personal growth.
The hostel rooms are too small according to some of my friends but that is only in first year.
Some sports are not available for learning for first years but no problem again, one can learn those in 2nd year.

Placement Experience:

The placement session are very good here , many companies come and take students in bulk. They get several job roles. The average package offered in my branch is 30 LPA, the maximum was 84 LPA. The top recruiters are Amazon , Google , Microsoft, Accenture and Texas Instruments.

IIT Dhanbad ranks 15th among the Engineering category by NIRF 2019. It is a much older establishment than IIT Bhubaneswar. The fee structure for BTech in ECE at IIT Dhanbad is 2,30,120 for one year. It Requires a JEE ranking of 3000-10000 for ECE. The ECE department of IIT Dhanbad has seen 60% placement of students with an average annual salary package of 15 lakhs per annum and highest being 39 lakhs per annum. IIT Dhanbad has a total of 332 faculty members who are highly qualified and experienced members. Out of total, 315 members are Ph.D. holders.

IIT Bhubaneswar ranks 17th in the Engineering category by NIRF 2019. It is one of the newer IITs. The students with JEE ranking between 2000-7000 are eligible for Electrical Engineering in IIT Bhubaneswar. IIT Bhubaneswar in 2019 has seen 89% placement in the Civil Engineering Department with an average annual salary package of 11 lakhs per annum, 39 lakhs per annum being the highest. IIT Bhubaneswar has a total of 145 faculty members who are highly qualified and Ph.D. holders. IIT Bhubaneswar has 2 hostels for boys and girls each. Thus, IIT Dhanbad will be a better option to study ECE than Electrical Engineering from IIT Bhubaneswar because, Being one of the oldest established IITs, IIT Dhanbad is known for its quality of education and their campus life. It also has better and more experienced faculty members.
