REVIEW OF IIT ISM DHANBAD BY A FRESHER.

I am purasuaing Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering department. My course includes 5 to 7 subjects for each semester. I have choosen it according to my Rank in jee advanced. Arround 3 labs are provided for each semester, that is technically good. Improvement is needed for some of the faculties of labs.

Mainly internship are for 3rd and 4th years students. Name of the companies are Walmart, Samsung, IBM, flipkart, google, Microsoft, Amazon. Task and outcomes are following. 1. Microsoft Project: Development of an AI-powered chatbot for customer support. Outcome: Streamlined customer service, reducing response time and increasing customer satisfaction. 2. Amazon Project: Design and implementation of a predictive analytics model for inventory management. Outcome: Improved inventory accuracy, leading to better stock management and reduced wastage. 3. Google Project: Enhancement of Google Maps with real-time traffic analysis using machine learning. Outcome: More accurate traffic predictions, improving user navigation and reducing travel times.

Students are eligible for applying campus placement in 4th year and internship from 3rd year. Various of companies come here to hire the students . Highest package is gone upto Rs.520000 and average package is offered approx RS. 180000. Arround 50% of students get placed here. I am planning to start my own Startup after getting my degree.

I paid RS. 35000 during josaa councelling. After admission I paid RS. 26000 for hostel and mess fee for first semester. Since I belong to EVS category, I will not have to pay Tution fee which is RS. 100000. There is 8 semesters and I will have to pay according to their fee structure. Each semester includes hostel fee , mess fee ,tution fee There is no extra charge for labs, library and all. tuition fee is approximately same for all semesters, but hostel and mess fee are different for all semester. Since one of my batchmate belongs to SC cast , he will not have to pay Tution fee. He have to pay mess fee, Hostel fee and all. My Roommate belongs to General category and he doesn't belong in EWS, so he have to pay Tution fee as well as. His total fee for one semester is RS. 26000 for Hostel and mess, RS. 100000 for tution fee. My college is so supportive for financial condition of students. It provides various types of scholarship among the students, on of them is NSP, I personally applied for this scholarship and waiting for getting rewarded with scholar fee. Other scholarship is MCM, many of my friends have applied for this scholarship. In this scholarship, students will be rewarded for certain amount.

There are many festivals are organised here. One of the technical festival is Concetto and Cultural festival is Srijan. It's library have large number of books and free wifi. Classrooms have smart board and well benches.

Hostel have a single room for two boys . Fan, lights and free wifi are well here. But space is very less for to boys. For fourth year student, the single room is provided. Meal quality is not good . Itoms are limited here and quality are also bad. It should be improved.

Jee Mains and Jee advanced exam is conducted for admissions in IITs. Students get IITs and NITs according to their rank in this exam. I got all india rank 15000. I have applied for IIT KANPUR and IIT ROORKEE and then IIT ISM DHANBAD. but according to my rank, I was unable to get these two colleges with good branch and I got IIT ISM DHANBAD with a sufficiently good branch.

The faculty to student ratio is approximately 0.35, since there are different faculties for different subjects. I liked Ashok Das Sir most. He is a faculty of Mathematics and computing department and he teaches mathematics us. He teaching style is so creative and smooth. I disliked Somyabrata barik Sir who teaches us Electrical device and circuits . He doesn't interact with us. There are two exams for one semester. One of them is Mid Semester exam and other one is End Semester exam. Quizs are taken before exams. Hardly anyone fails in exam.

One of the place is named RD, where students go for food like tea, samosa, patties, burger etc. there is gym for all students. Hostels and campus have strict timeing . For first year hostel, students are not allowed to go out since 12:00 PM and campus main gate is opened 24 hours.
