I liked the sports facilities and training provided to it

I hate the girls vs boys ratio and it is about 5:1
I hate the outing time which is till 10 'O clock at nights
I dislike my college of not having many branded food stores

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is wonderful and it aims to make us good engineers and the practical knowledge they provide is absolutely super and talking about the labs they are the best and the course is a bit out-dated as they contain few unwanted subjects

Class Size: 125Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Our college is far ahead in this internship opportunities and many of our seniors got interships in good companies and many of them convert them into their full-time job too. Companies like Google saschs, Yahoo etc . are observed

Placement Experience

Placements are good at our campus but due to recession it decreased in last year.But,now the placementa ar picking up pace and many students are getting pre-placement offers too with an average package of 15 lakhs

Fees and Financial Aid

No there is no increment in the fees.Don't worry about fees in IIT's most of it will be waved off by scholarships provide by college and others.approximately it can be lowered to 85000 per year.So just focus on studies

Campus Life

Here there are many clubs which include sports,tech, cultural etc..and the interaction between senior and junior in the clubs are really good and they are sent to inter IIT's once in a year and that experience is super good

Hostel Facilities

The hostel rooms of students are very good and 2 students per room are for 1 ,2,3 rd year students and 1 per room in 4 th year for boys . 3 per room for girls.The mess food is average and we have canteen below the hostel and the rate are affordable.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

I have considered this college firstly because of the nirf ranking in engineering,I opted this college over other colleges because of its huge campus with good sports and tech facilities it's huge alumini base etc...

Faculty

Faculty is good but we are hugely dependent on YouTube and the marking system is like 10-quiz 1 30-mid 10-quiz2 50-sem Exams are very seriously conducted and the standard of the exam paper is very good and wonderful.

Night Life

Generally for we boys there is no restriction to roam inside college during nights but for girls the gates close time is 10 pm and for everyone the main gate close time is 10 pm after that no one is allowed to enter the campus

Placements start 6th semester. Companies TCS, Wipro, Deloitte and local companies. Average package is 4 to 5 LPA. I plan to work as a full stack web developer or i will also apply off campus for better softer roles.

Honest college review without AI

Placement Experience:

From 5th sem students are eligible for placement. Name of the company I forgot but nvidia amazon comes each year and take some students Paypal offered 4 students 28 lpa and Swiggy gave 2 students 35 lpa Nvidia gave 2 students 25 lpa Highest package data is not out as of now Avg is good this year I guess it's was 12-13 lpa Percentage is I guess reality 60/150

Raw and real side of NIT JSR

Placement Experience:

One of the major advantage of my college is it's placement percentage and average package. For my branch placement percentage is our 80% and average package of my branch is 16.5 lpa this year. Highest package last year was of 1.44 crore from a company rubirik. I plan to work in a semiconductor manufacturing company like Texas instruments and qualcomm.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the course curriculum decent because it cover the basic engineering concepts that made me choose this course and it prepare us okay for real-world or higher study, but still more practical work and updated teaching method needed, and exams come mostly every semester with some internals which are moderate tough but manageable with regular study. There are some teachers who teach very well and have good teaching methods.

A Real Student Experience at DEC

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is okay and the basics are covered well, which is one reason I choose this branch, but some subjects feel outdated and not fully connected to real industry work. It prepare us for further studies more than practical jobs. Exams come every semester with internals in between, difficulty is moderate but few papers become tricky. I think more practical topics, updated labs and better teaching methods will make the curriculum more useful...

A Comprehensive Journey

Placement Experience:

One of my colleges best features is its placements program, which offers fantastic chances for students to launch their carrers. In the fifth and sixth semesters, students are prepared with aptitude training sessions, group discussions, and resume construction. About 85% of qualified pupils were placed during the previoes school year. Compared to core engieering fields, placements rates were marginally higher in IT branches.

All You need to know about IIT(ISM) Dhanbad

As this is an IIT, To get admission here Firstly You have to take the JEE mains exam. At our time there used to be 4 rounds of the JEE Mains exam and Your maximum percentile among all 4 would be considered for a cutoff It was around 90% and to be eligible for give JEE advance Exam. The JEE advance exam happened in July, and its results were also released in August. After Qualifying JEE Advanced exam too you have to go through JOSSA counselling. In JOSSA counselling you have to give your list of colleges priority wise and you will be allotted college based on your AIR. After JOSSA counseling of 6 rounds, you will be allotted a college and then you will receive an offer letter from a college. For me, at IIT Dhanbad after taking admission firstly we were introduced to college through an orientation session with our respected director. After this we were called to campus for pre-registration for our course there we had to submit our documents and verify our identity. That's it !!...Read More
