Overall the faculty at nit srinagar is good they provide us with good study material and they have average speaking skills we can understand their lectures easily jsnsnjdjdhdhshshhsjsjshhshshshshshshhshshshshhshshshshshshhshshdh
It has a beautiful campus and the best facilities the library has a huge amount of books and has free wifi speed like 100mbps.
In nit srinagar campus placement is very good many companies visit and they offer good packages highest packages in our college is 40-50 lpa that is good and many companis like tata hcl visits out college

Dislikes

Placements are very poor as only 20-30% students get placed with an average package of 6lpa!
Rapid development must has to present here which feels bad about this college.
There are no oncampus internships you have to find one your own and let college know about it.they put restrictions on everything and no proper leave is given for the internship facilities mentor you correctly and guide you

The best part of this college is its location which is located on the paradise of the Earth ❣️
The teaching methods of the faculties is Awesome...
The placement of our department is also excellent 👍

Dislikes

The college has not much active clubs like there is no active coding clubs in the college
Half of the college staff is filled with its home state which is ridiculous...
Some of the faculties are very strict academically...

Campus environment climate and weather and views and locates in the city only
Coorperation of staffs and supportive nature of faculty members
Fest and events held here in very organised manner

Dislikes

Management and dean student welfare needs improvent they should start considering students problem seriously including hostel mess overall
Dogs roaming inside the campus infrastructure improvement is required .
Cafeteria is closed from a long time interval food options are very less here and whatever is present is not worth it both according to price as well as taste . Comprimising with food taste

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is really good because each subjects contains certain course outcomes and whatever we study we can practice easily and efficiently. Talking about the exam perspective it is not that much hectic to cover the syllabus . And if someone focuses during class hours it will become very easy to grab and helps a lot during exams . According to the priorities our course is divides in 4 credits ,3 credits, 2 credits and 1 credits course labs are often 1 credit and we are also having 0 credit course which invludes humanities courses.

Campus is very small so it need to be expand
Food culture is Not good, And transportation also is not good

Why choose NIT srinagar

Likes

I really liked the campus of Nit Srinagar. It's very beautiful and surrounded by snowy mountains.
I also liked the faculty of atleast my course not sure about others. They are very helpful.
I also liked the infrastructure of my college. They have a nice football field and also they also have good sports activities

Dislikes

I didn't liked the administration especially Dean and stuff. They are very rude and dishonest.
I also didn't liked the Canteen area as they sell many items way too expensive

Placement Experience:

Placements of nit are top notch. They have almost 75 percent placement rate. If by chance someone don't get placed then they still have not tag with their name which gets them and edge over other candidates

The location of campus is too much good.
They provide all necessary things to you.
Campus environment is very good and good bonding b/w seniors and juniors

Dislikes

Campus size a bit small and conjusted area.
Faculties are not too much interested to teach.
Students are not too much creative to learn new things.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are allowed to sit in placements. And the package offers are very good like last year in 2024 some metallurgical students get 30 lpa packages. And also a good number of students get job in PSU through GATE exam.

Reality of nit srinagar

Likes

Infrastructure and dal side view is very good
Teachers are fabulous in their work zone area
Placement and internship are quite well in this college

Dislikes

If you want to Roam outside the college there is very high charges
Some teacher courses you to do assignment on time otherwise they will deducts the marks

After your third year you are eligible for the campus placement some company visited are Vedanta HCL extra and they provide a good number of offers the highest offer will 39 lakh in the CSE department and lowest days 3 lakh also in CSE department percentage of student get his approx 20 30% student will get place my plan is to get a government job after degree.

As you know this is located in Kashmir valley so the nature and beauty of this college is unmatchable with any of the other college in India .
Faculty of this college in my branch (MME) is very good and they are very dedicated towards their work one of my branch teacher is comes under the worlds 2% scientist list (His name is "Prvan Katiyar" you can check it on google as well
Class room are very hi-tech and well maintained including seminar and common hall for every special event . Sports facilities is also good and here special dedicated group for cricket and football

Dislikes

Although academic is good but the hostel facilities are not good because they put mostly 4-5 students in every room for almost 3 year . In your last year of btech you will get single room if you CGPA will good enough (7.2)
The girls to boys ratio is very bad . It is almost 1:10 , in my class out of 90 students only 10 girls . Not good facility for sports like badminton , so if you are a badminton lover then you will face difficulty
For any celebration or event there is only one place named Common Hall which has a capacity of 500 people only and it doesn't have good ventilation system . Although Auditorium work is in process but no one knows how much more time it will.

Placement Experience:

Placements rate of this college is quite good it basically depends on your branch if your branch is cse then you will get more companies offer other than any branch in my branch MME placement rate is almost 80 %.

Great weather and Lovely people feels like a holiday package even we can see mountains from our hostel . The famous Dal Lake is just behind the hostel.

Dislikes

There is not enough exposure due to the remote location of the college not many opportunities are provided by the college you have to do everything on your own.
