NIT Srinagar Scholarship 2025: Amount, Eligibility, Selection Criteria

NIT Srinagar is the best NIT among the NITs that are in valley. The fees is also the lowest as just 80000 fees and hostels are also cheap here. Every year though fees increases by some percent but still manageable.

NIT SRINAGAR: REVIEW

The total fee for btech course is 205000 rupees per annum this includes the tutuion fee and also the hostel fee and the mess fee of one year of my course.this also includes one time registration fee of 16500 rupees This is the fee for students having family income of above 5 lpa. Those students whose family income is less than 250000 per year have to sumit thier income certificate and enjoys 100 percent off on tution fee. students are able to avail scholarships at national scholarship portal and apply for it if eligible as per their category.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

As i am sc student mine complete fees is waived off but still there was a registration fees of each semester which was 3100 Rupees . apart from tution fees mine each semester hotel fees was 6000 Rupees and mess charges was 20000 per semester and at the time of admission they tooked some deposite which was refudable and the amout was 6500. the student s from other cateogrys have diffent fees according to their parents tax slab. and i got a scholship from central goverment of India named Top class sc student on the basis of mine jee main percentile the amount of scholarship was 4000 per year.

Semister fee is 0 for EWS student .college fee is 10000 and mess and hostelfee are 21000 for other categories like GEN they has 1 lakh for one semister (approx.) . many scholarships such as ffe and nsp and ongc,etc are available.

The semester fees for bachelor of technology for electrical enginering in nit srinagar is 73000 for general cateogary having income more than 5 lacks per annum. The fees for students having annual income less than 5 lacks is 31000 for each semester and for students having annual income less than 1 lack is 10,500 for each semester. The admission fee paid at the time of admission is 6500.The admission fee includes admission processing fee,hostel reserve fund,mess reserve fund & card fee.

I am currently pursuing Btech at NIT Srinagar, and after spending some time here, I have experienced both good and bad aspects of the college. Campus is beautiful surroundings by mountains and dal lake. Fees=327500 for 4 years including hostel and mess if income is less than 1 lakh yearly. Above 5 lakhs per annum, you have to pay more than 8 lakhs. Various gov scholarships on nsp are available ,PM YASHASHVI is the best among them if you fall under that category.Also you can apply for private scholarship like reliance foundation.

My college fees per year is 77,000 which includes 6500 registration fee, 10,500 institute fee, 8000 hostel fee,20,000 mess fee and some other charges. There is also provision of fee waiver for different categories such for SC/ST Full tuition fee waiver and for other categories fee waiver depends on their income certificate such that for upto 1 lakh income full tuition fee waiver, for between 1 to 5 lakhs 60% of the tuition fee waiver and for above 5 lakhs no fee waiver. There are various scholarships such as SC/ST Schoolarship, NSP Schoolarship, Merit Cum Schoolarship, And other for your study

Why you should choose NIT Srinagar?

For obc below 1 lakh income yearly fee is 77,000 rs which includes 40,000 rs mess fee , 16,000 rs hostel fee and 21,000 for registration fee there is no tution fee for obc below 1 lakh catagory or general above 10 lakh income there 73,000 tution fee per semester , rest same as above

Life of NITian's at NIT Srinagar

The tution fees for 4 year B.Tech program is 1027500 Tution fees per semster : 62500 Hostel fees per semester : 8000 Mess fee per semester: 20000 Wi_fi, medical, development, lab, etc fees is around 7000 ruppes Whereas hostel amd mess registration fee is 2000 both And 12000 caution money is around 12000 which we will get back after completion of our degree And also institute development fee is around 10000 per semester Students who belongs from SC, ST, and financially weak background(family's annual income between 1 to 5 lakh) For SC, ST and candidate whose annual income is under 1 lakh have full remission on tution fees, but they have to pay other fees as hostel, mess, lab, wtc. Which is around 327500 And for those students whose annual income is between 1 to 5 lakh gets ?rd remission in tution fees, their total fees is around 527500 Various education loan givers from ICICI, SBI bank agents are also present at the time of admission, Various scholarship schemes under NSP are offered to SC, ST, and meeit cum need students, meritorious students as PM yashasvi scheme, In this students recieve around 78000 per year For renewal of this scholarship in second and further academic years candidate must have 6.5 or above cgpa, with no active backloga

Life of a student at NIT Srinagar

The tuition fees is around 62000 per semester where is hostel fees is 8000 per semester mess fees is 20000 per semester lab and developmemt fee is around 1500 both per semester additionally 10,000 for institute fee Caution money is 12000 is one time payment ,which we will get after completing our course And no tution fee for SC, ST and students from weak financial background.
