Overall the faculty at nit srinagar is good they provide us with good study material and they have average speaking skills we can understand their lectures easily jsnsnjdjdhdhshshhsjsjshhshshshshshshhshshshshhshshshshshshhshshdh
It has a beautiful campus and the best facilities the library has a huge amount of books and has free wifi speed like 100mbps.
In nit srinagar campus placement is very good many companies visit and they offer good packages highest packages in our college is 40-50 lpa that is good and many companis like tata hcl visits out college

Dislikes

Placements are very poor as only 20-30% students get placed with an average package of 6lpa!
Rapid development must has to present here which feels bad about this college.
There are no oncampus internships you have to find one your own and let college know about it.they put restrictions on everything and no proper leave is given for the internship facilities mentor you correctly and guide you

the campus is beautiful and the mountains are look so good in winter.
the faculty members in the campus are highly qualified with amazing skills which will help every student to grasp concepts of topic in a consice way.
the teachers are so good and they try so hard to make students give maximum output to pass semester exams.

Dislikes

in this college mainly students faced the problem of lack of experience because most of our teacher is on contract or m.tech pass out.
students are does not able to get a good way for internships and the branches like chemical and metallurgy have a very low placements opportunities for students
the students of first year are generally called by seniors and have to do dance.

Placement Experience:

the placements from nit srinagar are on decent side. here from my ME branch almost 95 percentage of students got placed. the avg package is of around 13.8 lpa. And the highest package is off 37 lakh per annum of mechanical engineering branch. major companies are cognizant infosys samsung acc and others also.

The biggest highlight of nit Srinagar is its beautiful campus.The college is surrounded by mountains ,and Dal lake which makes the environment peaceful and scenic.The winters are really cold with heavy snowfall but campus looks amazing

Dislikes

Campus size is just 67 acres, it should have atleast 120 acres.Sports facilities are below average and the college doesn't even have an auditorium .600 acres of land is allotted to institute for construction of new campus but it will take decades .

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements 7th semester onwards , btw I am not sure about it .In 2023 Vedanta steel visited our college and offered 14 lakhs per annum to 84 students, but companies like this doesn't visit often because of remote location and connectivity issues.

Likes

This college give me opportunity to explore kashmir, Good climate ,less pollution etc.
Gives as Good placement offers , company like HPCL ,GAIL ,BEL, Tata Steel,etc visit here
Internship offers are also provided here from companies like Cummins, oracle etc

Dislikes

Not good in curriculum, fest are not Good as much as we want.

I my college placements are starts from 7 semester ,companies like HPCL GAIL BEL Tata Steel, oracle, aditya birla, rashmi metallics etc comes here previous year in my department highest package was 22LPA. PSU also come here

In this college,thera are many faculties and each of them are superb .Their teaching methodology and mentorship qualities are best.They put special efforts in their class.
As we know this college is located on the bank of the beautiful Dal lake on the lap of mountains 🏔️.It gives most beautiful feeling.
Infrastructure and hostels of this college are very different from the rest of India and looks amazing .There are so many sports ground available for almost each sports like cricket, badminton, football, running track, volleyball, basketball etc.

Dislikes

The most disliked by me in this college is the food of mess.because sometimes it's too bland and tasteless but not everytime.
The problem of vegetarian food is very common in college or near by place.There are not so much vegetarian restaurant or hotels
One of the reason is dislike this college is tension in valleys of kashmir.This leads to restrictions on the students to not go so much out from the campus.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, students here eligible for their placement.The placement of this college is very decent and nice. here.so many big companies visited like Ashok leyland,L&T,Mahindra etc.Almost all of the students are placed here .

Honest review of National institute of technology Srinagar

Likes

The college view is awesome it is situated at the bank of dal lake
Faculty is much supportive and students are extremely talented
Location is good it is situated at the centre of the city

Dislikes

Campus size is not so big and for North students there are some season issue during winter
Hostel management are worst right now but new hostels are making by institute
Fest and clubs are not much active only one event took place in a year

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement after passed the third year many companies like Oracle vedanta LNT e.tc. visit campus for placement the highest package of this year is 42 lpa by oracle Around 85-90 percent student placed in mechanical branch .

Nit Srinagar - is it worth to join

College campus is very beautiful . Infrastructure is okay okay . Attendance criteria is not follow, it is just on papers that 75 percent attendance is mandatory. Teachers are supportive . Sports activities are very good . Two fests occur yearly.
You can join various clubs according to your choice. There is a seperate department which can finance you if you have some innovative ideas . They support you very well
You can fulfill your dream to go to study in IIT as nit Srinagar has signed MoU with IIT Delhi which allows you to study your 7th and 8th semester in IIT Delhi

Dislikes

Only two fests occur in one year which is very less as compare to other not
Hostels and hostel food are not that good but a new mega hostel is being constructed which will be completed till 2025 soo batch after 2025 will be able to use it
You have very limited choices in additional courses.

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester companies start to visit the campus for each branch . Cse and it get maximum placements. Large number of companies visit the campus like Oracle ,tredence , ashok Leyland, Infosys, seimens , Hyundai ,vedanta , Hitachi energy, maruti , Honda , sigmoid ,sixT R&D, cyfuture , Larsen and toubro, aganitha cognitive solution and soo on. If your from non core branch your placement is 100 percent guaranteed, in core branches like electrical mechanical 70-90 percent student get placed . It may also due to the reason some students of core branch opt to for higher studies.

NIT Srinagar - One of the most beautiful campuses in India.

Likes

One thing you will like much about NIT Srinagar is its climatic conditions.
You will get NIT Tag at a very JEE Rank which will help you allot through out your career.
The placement are pretty good if you are in CSE/IT/MEC /MME branch.

Dislikes

College will not provide you more opportunities for the paid internships.
Mess food is not upto the mark and campus size is also very small.
Education level is not upto the mark you need to be more serious about your studies.

College Placements are pretty good for CSE/IT/Mechanical and Metallurgy & Material Science Branch. After 5th semester students become eligible for placement. Every year more than two hundred companies visits here and for mechanical, CSE and IT more than 80% students got placed. Highest package of year 2024 was 39LPA at Autodesk for software engineer profile. I got a job from campus placement so I will go for it.

Wish i would know before joining nit srinagar

The teaching staff, infrastructure, the innovative environment
Interaction with students from other states.
The ideas and the innovations that college stress about.

Dislikes

The hostels cooling system especially in summers.
The mess menu is sometimes not good enough.
The drainage system there get blocked with little bit of rain.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements just after 5th semester. The companies that mostly visit here are Tata, Mahindra, nvidia, infosys, Samsung, vedanta, autodesk etc. The highest package last year was 39 lpa offered by autodesk and average package is nearly 1000000. Placement rates are really nice. Last year mechanical engineering had placement rates of 141 percent. And other branches too above 100 percent. I have planned to sit in the placement sessions and grab some good placement.
