Wish i would know before joining nit srinagar

The course is mostly very relevant to our field. But somewhere they miss some important topics that i think should be well discussed. The courses should be elected as per student survey like how they want to change and what subjects they want to add or remove. We have our mid term exams after every 2-3 months from our starting of semester and end term after 2-3 months of mid term. And difficulty level is hard i would say.

Many companies offer internship opportunities there with stipend of average 10000 . And mostly every students gets internships. For projects we just have to put forward our idea and the faculty will help us in their best way to achieve that and also they fund us for the same.

Students become eligible for placements just after 5th semester. The companies that mostly visit here are Tata, Mahindra, nvidia, infosys, Samsung, vedanta, autodesk etc. The highest package last year was 39 lpa offered by autodesk and average package is nearly 1000000. Placement rates are really nice. Last year mechanical engineering had placement rates of 141 percent. And other branches too above 100 percent. I have planned to sit in the placement sessions and grab some good placement.

77000 per year i have to pay belonging to category having annual family income less than 1 lakh. My tution fee per year is nil due to fee waiver for students having annual income less than 1 lakh. Students having income greater than 5 lacs has to pay a total of 162000 of tuition fee and for students between 1-5 lacs of income , the tuition fee is 62000. Students can apply for nsp scholarship based on their category. They can Easily get scholarship upto 50000.

Here two main campus fests are techvaganza and rang-e-chinar, in which many creators, actors, engineers, companies, entrepreneurs, they all come and put their ideas forward and motivate students. We have smart boards in every classroom and we have many hi-tech classrooms too and well heating and cooling arrangements. There are many clubs and groups that are run by college as well as students too.

We have a single fan, a bed for each roommate, alongside with table for each student, inverter supply. The mess is good somehow, but still there are many dishes that are not liked by students. For hostel registration we just have to fill a form and the submit the fee . There are around 5 hostels for boys including newly building mega hostel having capacity of 1000 students . And 4 hostels for girls too.

I already got admisssion in dtu delhi, nit jamshedpur, nit goa. But the reason i chose nit srinagar is that firstly it is in my home state. And the faculty there is so nice and also the placement rates are great. We cleard jee mains for getting admission in such college.

The faculty there is so nice and helpful. They teach very well and they help us in many projects. They pitch our ideas on big stages. They keep motivating us for the bestment of ourselves. Exams there are like of hard level. Mostly students pass the exam without any difficulty. And course curriculum is somehow related and relevant to our future career paths.
