Nice and Unbiased review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra

My decision to choose civil engineering because of faculty members because I know some of the faculty member and I know that they are very helpful. The frequency of exams are 2 in each year total 8 semester. Also the difficulty level is moderate.

I don't know about the internship opportunities in our college yet because the internship starts in 3 year and I am currently in 2 semester. But I know that the college encourage students to get role in internship.

The placement of our college is Average and the students are eligible in 7 semester for placement. If the student has any backlog in any of the semester they can't sit in the college placement and also it has minimum criteria of 6.5 cgpa. The percentage of students getting placement is very low sadly

The fees of the college is 1 lakh 80 thousand and if you include hostel fees it would be around 45 thousand. College don't provide any scholarship or financial aid . There is also not exemption of fees for sc and st students.

There are many fest conducted in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra. Some of them include music fest and technical fest . Also the college has wide variety of books in library also the college is very good in extracurricular activities and sports like football and cricket.

The hostel provide all basic necessities including a single bed with almirah and study table for each student. There are 4 hostels in the University for boys named New Basohli, Nilgiri , Vindhyachal And trikuta kailash. But the bathroom quality is very poor and smells like rotten animals.

I have applied in many colleges and I also get seat in them but the only reason I use assembly because the college is close from my home. Just because of travelling purposes I choose this college. The admission process in our college is not very difficult. The only way to get admission in the college by csab counselling and by college internal counselling.The cut off of the branch is 60 percentile for general students. I don't get any rejection from any other colleges.

The faculty of civil engineering is very nice and helping. Sometimes faulties unable to connect with students. Level of exams are hard and sometimes student are unable to clear them. There are 2 exams in one semester one is minor and another is major minors are of 20 marks and majors are of 40 marks. And the other 40 marks are depend on teacher. Whether you can take quizzes or can give you assignment.

No I didn't face any group discussion or interview or written test for the admission because the admission is done through jee mains or university internal counselling which is also done on the basis of jee mains marks

The night life in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is very good according to me. In campus there are various cafe ( CCD) . The hostel timing is 8pm for boys and 7 pm for girls . The College also had 1 multi gym. The most famous hangout in campus is red rocks and bc junction because there are many girls who also come in these places .
