Campus is very beautiful.There are mountains around college which gives very pleasant vibes

The road connectivity of this city to othet cities is very difficulty especially by road
The hostel life is very congested as there are 5 students in one room
The academic curriculum is very hectic in this college

Course Curriculum Overview

My course is good at this college. Faculty students ratio is 1:100.Maximum faculty members have done Ph.D. There are mid-sem exams and end-sem exams. The semester is of 4 months approximately which is very short.

Internships Opportunities

Very much an internship opportunity. Teachers really help to get internships. Many companies ask students for internships. You will get internship opportunities in 2nd or 3rd year. Overall facilities are decent.

Placement Experience

Placements are decent in our college. Almost 80% of students from cse it ever gets placed and is also good in core branches. The highest package of Cse I think is 50 lakh and the average is around 8-9.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees depend on your yearly income. If your income is above 5 lakh then your academic fees are 73k and and if between 1 and 5 then you need to pay 2/3rd of the total fees. and if your income is below 1 l lakh, then no fees.

Campus Life

The biggest fest here is Techvaganza which happened recently. The Library is very good and is open till 12 pm. Classrooms have highly facialized. There are many clubs here related to every field which are very good.

Hostel Facilities

The hostels are good. There are four hostels for boys and one hostel for girls. Each room has 4-5 boys and girls who have the same situation also. Mess food is average not to expect too much. And other hostel facilities are good.

Hostel Fee: INR 16000 per year

Admission

I took admitted to this college with the help of JEE Mains. Then I applied for Josaa counseling and I got Information Technology at NIT Srinagar. 50% quota is for home state students and 50% quota is for other state students.

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

There are in campus placements in our university. Students become eligible for the same from 7th semester. Companies like IBM, AMAZON, WIPRO, INFOSYS, DELOITTE, CGEGG, HONDA, NTPC, ACCENTURE are the top recruiters. The highest package was of 36.5 LPA and the average is 11.5LPA in the year 2023. Placement Experience:

Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Nit Srinagar the heaven

Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

I got this college on the basis of councellign held after jee main result before this i got Natinal institue of technology Megalya i left that beacuse of non permanent hostel facility and bad reviews from the seniors and the distance from mine hoemtown sikar(Rajasthan) even many good engineerig colleges was there in mine list but because of mine less marks in jee main and advance i am unable to get them (example : nit silchar, nit Wrangle, nit Trichy etc) but over all mine college was good according to Enviroment conditions and other parameters and the admission process was very smooth just you have to verify your documents ....Read More

As we all know that the B.Tech course is of four years and divided into eight semesters. It is offereed across 8 different specialisations including /cse, /ee, ECE, MEC, META, CIVIL, IT /cHE . The course admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in JEE Main followed by JOSSA counselling/CSAB counselling. The allotment is donw on the basis of merit score in Je/e Main. The Eligibility Criteria is that the candiddate must qualify JEE Main and score above 75% marks in 12th. A score of 96 - 97 p;ercentile is enough for an OB/C or General student and 93% -90 perccentile for SC / ST students.
