- Overall the faculty at nit srinagar is good they provide us with good study material and they have average speaking skills we can understand their lectures easily jsnsnjdjdhdhshshhsjsjshhshshshshshshhshshshshhshshshshshshhshshdh
- It has a beautiful campus and the best facilities the library has a huge amount of books and has free wifi speed like 100mbps.
- In nit srinagar campus placement is very good many companies visit and they offer good packages highest packages in our college is 40-50 lpa that is good and many companis like tata hcl visits out college
Dislikes
- Placements are very poor as only 20-30% students get placed with an average package of 6lpa!
- Rapid development must has to present here which feels bad about this college.
- There are no oncampus internships you have to find one your own and let college know about it.they put restrictions on everything and no proper leave is given for the internship facilities mentor you correctly and guide you

- The main reason to choose the college is the scenic beauty and good technology atmosphere.The cleanliness and the top notch facilities of the campus make it a place to remember and give you a feel that you are studying in the top college.
- The sports facilities are too good. Campus got its own football ground,Cricket ground, Basketball court , badminton court, volleyball court.The vibe to play between the sunsets and a beautiful mountaininc view is just mesmerizing.
- The facilities in the hostel are very good. There is good concern on the cleanliness of the campus. Security of students are taken very seriously .
Dislikes
- The classes are held at top of the builidings even in the winter and the class of morningrs which is a reason there is no motivation to get up take the class
- There are long electricity cutoff at the time of electricity maintainance and long water cutoff at water maintainence.
Placement Experience:
Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs.
Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements.
From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students.
Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

- less hectic schedule and curriculum and exam papers are easy.
- We got approx 3 months of vacation instead of annual holiday.
- Campus is beautiful because it is situated at bank of Dal lake and we seen beautiful scenery of mountains from the campus
Dislikes
- Campus is small, sometimes it will regrate you.
- Mess food is only average it only to alive for four years.
- Hostel rooms are small and a small room have 5 students, very Very conjugated

Placement Experience:
On campus placement is not as good as we see from out side because mostly CSE and IT are placed not with high package. Package starts from 6lpa Ctc and goes to 21-20 lpa average some students got 34 , 54 lpa only few of them
Core branches have very less placement ratio 5:80
For placement you have to learn from other sources if you totally dependent on institute then i will confirm we will not able to secure a 4 lpa placement.

- Nature and scenic beauty is too good the peaceful environment it gives you is really soothing especially if you like this type of atmosphere around you then this place is definitely for you plus you can explore the tourist places around here
- The academic environment is also pretty decent, teachers do focus on teaching ( although as with other college , the quality is somewhat questionable ) but still it is a nice place for your overall academic growth
- The placements for CS / IT are pretty decent so this atleast gives you some level of security for your future combining this with the aspect of nature seemed as a deadly combination to me at my rank ...
Dislikes
- There are a few good faculties but most are not...
- The campus size is somewhat small and so that could be a negative factor for someone
- The fest are not that big , they are decent enough for you to explore yourself but just not what you may expect
Placement Experience:
I think the students become eligible for placements after 6 th semester, if you are from CS / IT then you'll get enough opportunities for yourself... I know 8-9 seniors who have grabbed a pretty decent package from companies like Oracle
If somehow you fail to get recruited on campus then i guess the off campus option is open for all
I am pretty satisfied with the placement record atleast for IT
The percentage placement for this year CSE was 51 considering recession part this seems good to me

- The hostel and mess are amazing. we get good accomodation plus good food
- Security which is often question for kashmir but in nit srinagar there is tight security which is good for students
- Teacher are highly educated and give real life experience while teaching.
Dislikes
- Classroom tables are so aching they are not comfortable which must be replaced as while u give 2 hours lecture itz so hurting
- Restriction of going out. Here are many restriction we cant go out after 7 pm it seems like a boarding school
- Exams which are very often and events are so boring

Here percentage goes more than 100% as shown on college website
I would prefer placement or any govt job
