Overall the faculty at nit srinagar is good they provide us with good study material and they have average speaking skills we can understand their lectures easily jsnsnjdjdhdhshshhsjsjshhshshshshshshhshshshshhshshshshshshhshshdh
It has a beautiful campus and the best facilities the library has a huge amount of books and has free wifi speed like 100mbps.
In nit srinagar campus placement is very good many companies visit and they offer good packages highest packages in our college is 40-50 lpa that is good and many companis like tata hcl visits out college

Dislikes

Placements are very poor as only 20-30% students get placed with an average package of 6lpa!
Rapid development must has to present here which feels bad about this college.
There are no oncampus internships you have to find one your own and let college know about it.they put restrictions on everything and no proper leave is given for the internship facilities mentor you correctly and guide you

Reality of nit srinagar

Likes

Infrastructure and dal side view is very good
Teachers are fabulous in their work zone area
Placement and internship are quite well in this college

Dislikes

If you want to Roam outside the college there is very high charges
Some teacher courses you to do assignment on time otherwise they will deducts the marks

Placement Experience:

After your third year you are eligible for the campus placement some company visited are Vedanta HCL extra and they provide a good number of offers the highest offer will 39 lakh in the CSE department and lowest days 3 lakh also in CSE department percentage of student get his approx 20 30% student will get place my plan is to get a government job after degree.

Nit Srinagar - is it worth to join

College campus is very beautiful . Infrastructure is okay okay . Attendance criteria is not follow, it is just on papers that 75 percent attendance is mandatory. Teachers are supportive . Sports activities are very good . Two fests occur yearly.
You can join various clubs according to your choice. There is a seperate department which can finance you if you have some innovative ideas . They support you very well
You can fulfill your dream to go to study in IIT as nit Srinagar has signed MoU with IIT Delhi which allows you to study your 7th and 8th semester in IIT Delhi

Dislikes

Only two fests occur in one year which is very less as compare to other not
Hostels and hostel food are not that good but a new mega hostel is being constructed which will be completed till 2025 soo batch after 2025 will be able to use it
You have very limited choices in additional courses.

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester companies start to visit the campus for each branch . Cse and it get maximum placements. Large number of companies visit the campus like Oracle ,tredence , ashok Leyland, Infosys, seimens , Hyundai ,vedanta , Hitachi energy, maruti , Honda , sigmoid ,sixT R&D, cyfuture , Larsen and toubro, aganitha cognitive solution and soo on. If your from non core branch your placement is 100 percent guaranteed, in core branches like electrical mechanical 70-90 percent student get placed . It may also due to the reason some students of core branch opt to for higher studies.

Likes

The enviornment is really good you can go on trips whenever you feel to as kashmir is just a heaven on earth
The interaction between senior and juniot is good everyone is helping in nature
The faculy are also well qualified from IIT, NIT and foreign institutions

Dislikes

The thing I disliked is that there are 5 students in a room till 3rd year
The mess food quality is also not really good
As it become really cold in night there is not any such night life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is average considered best for government exam and many students prsue for it too and get successful also as I have seen many seniors doing it we also have labs of subject which helps to know the subject well

Life At NIT Srinagar

Likes

The classrooms are really good. Library is amazing. Hostels are amazing. Canteen is good but needs improvement.
Social interactions are good in general. Faculty is average and needs improvement. Placements are good in CSE/IT/ECE but other branches need improvement.
Course curriculum although relevant for professional development, is not upto the mark for personal development

Dislikes

Girls to boys ratio is poor. Faculty is average and some are below average as well. Timetable is hectic
Labs are not upto date and need improvement. Canteen is really unhygienic.
Ragging is prevalent in this college even after signing anti ragging affidavit

Placement Experience:

From 8th semester students can apply for placements. Indigo oil, amazon, apple etc visit the college. Highest package is about 40 lpa while average is 8lpa. Placements are excellent for CSE/IT but other branches don't get a lot of opportunities. I plan on qualifying GATE or JE exam after my degree.

The best NIT ?

Likes

The nature is very awesome of the campus. Alongside there are many places nearby to visit
The market is nearby campus of the institute . The Dal lake is in backside of campus
The faculty members are very qualified from top IITs and NITs with phd

Dislikes

The sports facilities are not very good in here.
The transportation cost outside campus is very high.
The hostel rooms for freshers are average.

Placement Experience:

Placements are only for 4th year students. But internships are also provided to the students of 2nd and 3rd year in the month of January and february. Reliance google wipro gail gas are the top recruiters. Highest package last year was 36 lakhs per annum. Average package is 12 lakhs per annum. 80 to 90 % get placed. I would go for mtech by gate exam.

The pros and cons of the most beautiful NIT

Likes

The nature is awesome ,and there are plenty of places to visit. And the sport facility is good but needs an improvement. The faculty is quiet nice and the hostels for seniors are great .
The view is fantastic, the locals are polite and adorable
There are great digital classrooms , seniors are helping

Dislikes

The girls to boys ratio is much poor in this college
The sport facility needs improvement. In cricket especially
The guest faculty is poor much of times and unavailable

From 3rd year December you can go for internships. Companies like Wipro google Microsoft visit often . The highest package was 35 lakhs and average was 10. Around 80 to 90 eligible students get placed . I would opt for campus placement after my degree in core

NIT Srinagar Full and Final Review

As you know this is located in Kashmir valley so the nature and beauty of this college is unmatchable with any of the other college in India .
Faculty of this college in my branch (MME) is very good and they are very dedicated towards their work one of my branch teacher is comes under the worlds 2% scientist list (His name is "Prvan Katiyar" you can check it on google as well
Class room are very hi-tech and well maintained including seminar and common hall for every special event . Sports facilities is also good and here special dedicated group for cricket and football

Dislikes

Although academic is good but the hostel facilities are not good because they put mostly 4-5 students in every room for almost 3 year . In your last year of btech you will get single room if you CGPA will good enough (7.2)
The girls to boys ratio is very bad . It is almost 1:10 , in my class out of 90 students only 10 girls . Not good facility for sports like badminton , so if you are a badminton lover then you will face difficulty
For any celebration or event there is only one place named Common Hall which has a capacity of 500 people only and it doesn't have good ventilation system . Although Auditorium work is in process but no one knows how much more time it will.

Placement Experience:

Placements rate of this college is quite good it basically depends on your branch if your branch is cse then you will get more companies offer other than any branch in my branch MME placement rate is almost 80 %.

NIT Srinagar - One of the most beautiful campuses in India.

Likes

One thing you will like much about NIT Srinagar is its climatic conditions.
You will get NIT Tag at a very JEE Rank which will help you allot through out your career.
The placement are pretty good if you are in CSE/IT/MEC /MME branch.

Dislikes

College will not provide you more opportunities for the paid internships.
Mess food is not upto the mark and campus size is also very small.
Education level is not upto the mark you need to be more serious about your studies.

College Placements are pretty good for CSE/IT/Mechanical and Metallurgy & Material Science Branch. After 5th semester students become eligible for placement. Every year more than two hundred companies visits here and for mechanical, CSE and IT more than 80% students got placed. Highest package of year 2024 was 39LPA at Autodesk for software engineer profile. I got a job from campus placement so I will go for it.

Students are eligible for Placements from 6th semster. I did not. Know the number of offers made but i heard that they are going well here. Highest is nearly about 39 lakh per annum and the least is 3 lpa

Likes

A very good academic place with a lot of qualified professors
A very good curriculum that is well rounded.

Dislikes

Poor infrastructure and sports development
Hostel and Mess very average and below par sometimes

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, students are eligible for placements. Companies like NVIDIA, TSCI, and others visit. The highest package is 15 lpa And the average is 8 lpa The percentage varies from branch to branch On average remains like 60 percent
