Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The subjects like computer programming and fundamental knowledge of accreditation for a chemical engineering students motivated me to took this course in here. the curriculum is Fully outcome based and they also teaches us it's application and real world importance. No need for improvement just increase the practical lab works.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

As I am a fresher I don't know much about companies coming to offer internships but as I am told by seniors . There are much opportunities. There are also students that have successfully ran a startup.

Placement Experience

3.5

From 3rd year December you can go for internships. Companies like Wipro google Microsoft visit often . The highest package was 35 lakhs and average was 10. Around 80 to 90 eligible students get placed . I would opt for campus placement after my degree in core

Fees and Financial Aid

As an SC student, I don't pay tuition fees that is 62500. But there are several one time fees before first semester and some refundable fees that will be recieved after 4 years. The hostel fees is 4500 per semester and mess fees is 21500 for both veg and non veg diet. The average fees per month for an SC student is 4750 for the 4 years for a hosteller. After josaa councelling I paid mess and hostel fees other than the councelling charges. For general non ews students the total fees for 4 years is 8 lakhs

Campus Life

4

Techvagannza is the main fest of this college along with rang e chinar. Other than this there are many celebrations and functions throughout the year. Books are provided by college and it has a very good and large library. There are smart boards and aids of technology in teaching. Sports facilities are good but needs improvement in cricket especially. There are many clubs like music gym dance hackathon and tourism clubs.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Room just has 5 bed with no cushions and 3 almirahs . Nothing good in that . Mess are pretty good than expected and menu is good including non veg. The physical reporting process involves hostel registration and fees is 8000 for a year with 21500 mess fees for 6 months.

Admission

I participated in josaa councelling where I filled nit kurukshetra as I am from haryana. But I would get metallurgy there instead I chose nit Srinagar chemical branch over it because of my interest and Srinagar's beauty. According to my percentile It was best for me. There is councelling and then physical reporting with documents. Nothing concerning here. The best branch is information technology here. The cutoff is not that high although it is 2nd tier nit . I got it on 88.4 percentile

Faculty

4

The ratio is good for upcoming semesters but not for 1st semester. The faculty is very cooperative and helping. Definately can be easily approached. But guest faculty are not like that. I really liked Mr. Kurella swamy for his undeviating focus from the topic. Senior faculties are the best ones. I didn't like maths guest faculty because of his poor teaching style. Exams are comprehensive are relatable as I am told. There are mid semester and end semester exams. So the frequency of exams is very high. The curriculum is Fully outcome based and advanced.

Placement Experience:

The Placements opportunities are fair as they placement is not good. The average placement is 5 l.p.a which is very low. So you have to prepare for off campus placement. The College is slightly cut off from the top companies and they are not visiting our college from covide period. Thus placement is at not good track.

Students become eligible for campus placements in 8th semester. Companies like L&T construction, Ambuja cement, tata , wipro, jio , Berger, infosys, IBM and many more visit the college. Highest package is around 17 LPA and average package is around 5 LPA . Almost 30 percent students get placement. My plan is to get off campus placement.

The placement of our college is Average and the students are eligible in 7 semester for placement. If the student has any backlog in any of the semester they can't sit in the college placement and also it has minimum criteria of 6.5 cgpa. The percentage of students getting placement is very low sadly
