NIT Srinagar Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Students become eligible for placement after passed the third year many companies like Oracle vedanta LNT e.tc. visit campus for placement the highest package of this year is 42 lpa by oracle Around 85-90 percent student placed in mechanical branch .

On campus placement is not as good as we see from out side because mostly CSE and IT are placed not with high package. Package starts from 6lpa Ctc and goes to 21-20 lpa average some students got 34 , 54 lpa only few of them Core branches have very less placement ratio 5:80 For placement you have to learn from other sources if you totally dependent on institute then i will confirm we will not able to secure a 4 lpa placement.

The campus placement of this college is not so good. The students can sit in the campus placement from 7th semester. I have no idea about the companies which visited here and the numbers of offers made. The highest package in the current placement cycle is around 35 lakhs and the average is around 12-13 lakhs. The percentage of students placed are quite low in this college. My plan after getting the degree is to get off campus placement after gaining some sort of working experience.

In this college with the civil branch, placement is very bad, we say arround the 4 LPA, so placement is very bad, but with the civil engineering college is good, because In civil many of government exams, and college gives you time for preparation

I think from 3rd year or 4rth year college student are eligible for campus placement there are a lot of companies came here every year for placement highest placemnet of this college is about 50 lakh and above

I think the students become eligible for placements after 6 th semester, if you are from CS / IT then you'll get enough opportunities for yourself... I know 8-9 seniors who have grabbed a pretty decent package from companies like Oracle If somehow you fail to get recruited on campus then i guess the off campus option is open for all I am pretty satisfied with the placement record atleast for IT The percentage placement for this year CSE was 51 considering recession part this seems good to me

From 7th semester student become eligible for placements Here many companies visit mostly L&T, wipro , and many other Highest pakage was offered to cse student with 39LPA in year 2023 while average is 10LPA Here percentage goes more than 100% as shown on college website I would prefer placement or any govt job

Companies visites in our college like pw , omini solution etc and they gives a good package to students.highest package of computer science is 45 lakh and average package is 12 lakh . approx 45% of college get placed.

The placement of this college in my branch is good , in current year about 20 students got placed in tech companies of ece branch,the placement of circuital branch is overall good but for non circuital branch is not good so these students prefer for further study,they try for gate and cat exam
