Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is damn good. Timings of mid sem is 75 minutes and for end sem it is 150 minutes. And if you have only attended lectures then nothing is difficult in college. I choose my course because I wanted something new in my life and since past few years CS is not growing bcz of AI. It's helped the core branches to get more value and metallurgy is on the top of it.

Internships Opportunities

5

There are many companies which participate in placement and internship like Accenture Goldman Sachs Amazon. Most of these companies give consultancy job to graduates with avg stipend of 25k.since I am in first year so idont know that much about projects.

Placement Experience

4

Placements of nit are top notch. They have almost 75 percent placement rate. If by chance someone don't get placed then they still have not tag with their name which gets them and edge over other candidates

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees is around 8 lacs for complete course but since I belong to ST category I don't have to pay tution fees. So my total fee gets reduced by 5 lacs. Also there are many scholarships available for students like merit cum means and reserved students scholarship like top class scholarship for sc and st

Campus Life

5

I was shy person before joining not but now I am changed . I gave audition for every club but I was selected in two of them which are sports club for football and in anime club. They are many fets in nit . Like techvaganza and rang e chinar. Techvaganza is tech fest organised in October and rang chinar in april-may.sports activity are very good in nit . Classromas have ac and bright lights in them

Admission

I only applied to this college bc it is in my home state and my parents didn't want me to go out of state. Admission process is quite complicated as you have to qualify JEE then sit in josaa counseling and then you get admission in nit . Which gets permanent once you do physical verification at the institute.

Faculty

5

I think faculty to student ration is 45:1. Faculty is great no doubt and they are very approachable. I liked rasiq Inayat sir. He taught us english and I also liked saifullah sir and he taught us Electrical engg. I personally liked everyone of them but I would say our chemistry faculty is pretty avg when compared to others. They are 2 exams per semester. One is midsem and other endsem. Not many students fail in core subjects like electrical and mechanics. Most of them fail in new subjects like ED and CP. Curriculum is very relevant as they are helping us in atleast understanding basic of every field in nit .

Night Life

4

I didnt had a hostel so idont know about night life. But I only was there for techavaganza at night and it was damn good. Our friend group didn't a lot of fun and we even won soapbox competition. And then next day we were spectators in every activity going in college
