NIT Srinagar Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

the placements from nit srinagar are on decent side. here from my ME branch almost 95 percentage of students got placed. the avg package is of around 13.8 lpa. And the highest package is off 37 lakh per annum of mechanical engineering branch. major companies are cognizant infosys samsung acc and others also.

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

students are elgible for campus placements who are started their seventh semester.companies like Power grid corporation of india,Bharat petroleum,Bharat heavy Electricals Limited,Reliance are top companies here,number of offers varies yearly.there is more than 85% of placement percentage here in EE.I want to complete higher studies like M.tech,MBA in even more great universities.

5th semester I don't know the exact figures but man companies visit our campus with average package of 10 lpa for CSE this year 40 lpa was the highest package and around 10-12 average Almost 60-70 percent students gets placed in CSE branch To get a job and gain some experience then switching to a higher paying job and settle

the National Institute of Technology Srinagar has demonstrated high placement performance in recent years the placement rate for undergraduate student is very high 460 out of 581 place in 2024, the median salary for the students is 11 lakh.Top companies include Microsoft ,HCL,Infoys Samsung and JSW.The higest package was of 36 lakhs.

Students become eligible for placements 7th semester onwards , btw I am not sure about it .In 2023 Vedanta steel visited our college and offered 14 lakhs per annum to 84 students, but companies like this doesn't visit often because of remote location and connectivity issues.

Placement of college is decent. Last year placement was down but this year many renowned company have visited the campus to hire student and a lots of students got placed till now and is still on going. The highest packege this year is 36 lakh and the average is 11 lakh.

Almost 70 percent of students get placed in good companies and rest may go for higher studies and preparing for competitive exam like upsc, overall placements are good , students get decent package and get placed.

Students studying in 7th semester or above are eligible for on campus placements rounds Companies as Aakash, Bjyu's, Ashok leyland, Aditya Birla Group, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Castrol, Vedanta, Shell, Microsoft, Shree Chaitanya, etc. Around 160 companies visites the campus for last year and does same for this year ongoing placements Around 524 offers were made last year and 280 offeres for this year are made yet. Highest package offered is around 39 lpa, while lowest package was around 6 lpa and average package was around 9.12 lpa Around 70% students are able to grab on campus placements Profiles as sales executive, assistant manager, assistant engineer, management trainee, management roles, educator, web developer, etc. Profiles were offered My plans after degree to go abroad for Masters as I want to learn more about chemical engineering in depth, andfor this I have started to prepare for GATE Exam as well Some PSU'S aslo visited the campus, they made around 14 offeres for mechanical and chemical engineering student combined Overall lalightly low average package but more offers to students

From the 7th semester of the BTech program students are able to apply for the on campus placements, Many companies visited for the placements of 25 batch this year Companies as Vedanta ,TCS, Infosys , shell , Ashok leyland , Aditya birla group , Shree chaitanya , Aakash ,byju's , PW , etc. around 170+ companies visited the campus last year and same for this year as well Profiles as Sales executive, Assistant management, Assistant engineer , Educators , lWeb developers ,etc were offered Highest package offered was 39 lpa last year, lowest package was around 6 loa whereas average package offered is around 8.75 lpa in my institute
