Course Curriculum Overview

4

Today's world works on technology so cse branch is booming. In our college subjects asked in interview are directly from our curriculum. Curriculum is fine but the teaching methods lack some practical excercise. Exams are done twice per sem and are fairly difficult.

Placement Experience

3

5th semester I don't know the exact figures but man companies visit our campus with average package of 10 lpa for CSE this year 40 lpa was the highest package and around 10-12 average Almost 60-70 percent students gets placed in CSE branch To get a job and gain some experience then switching to a higher paying job and settle

Campus Life

4

Rang-e-chinar a cultural festival held around August is a festival done to emphasize cultural values While as techvaganza is a technology based festival happens around November. Library provides each and everything any student needs Various sports are offered on campus like cricket basketball volleyball tennis table tennis football badminton chess carrom board Many student clubs are there to help students develop their personality and learn about their interests

Hostel Facilities

4

You are given a locker a table a ethernet socket with some power sockets a single bed with some storage only con of the hostel room is that you have to share it with other 5 people Meal is quality is ok as most hostels are To register for hostel you have to fill some forms and hostel is affordable for middle class

Admission

I applied through josaa counselling in other nits one of them was NIT jalandhar.I really wanted Cse branch so a good college with good enough nirf ranking was NIT srinagar in which I got cse on my jee percentile. I got rejected from NIT jalandhar, Delhi and various other NITS due to my low percentile for their CSE branch My college admission is done through josaa counselling and exam qualified should be JEE Mains.

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is good and most of the faculties are easily approachable. My personal favourite was Mr.Jalal as he was very kind and honest towards us.Mr.Singal felt a bit biased and was very strict in marking. Exams are divided in two terms (mid and end term) both are fairly difficult and are very relevant to our courses. In cse especially most students clear the exams

Night Life

2

Nightlife isn't good as the college doesn't allow students to go outside late Gym is closed around 8 pm and library at 12 am cafeteria is closed around 11 pm. Inside campus a spot is famous as you can see dal lake from there Yes the locality is very safe

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
