In nit srinagar campus placement is very good many companies visit and they offer good packages highest packages in our college is 40-50 lpa that is good and many companis like tata hcl visits out college
Dislikes
Placements are very poor as only 20-30% students get placed with an average package of 6lpa!
Rapid development must has to present here which feels bad about this college.
There are no oncampus internships you have to find one your own and let college know about it.they put restrictions on everything and no proper leave is given for the internship facilities mentor you correctly and guide you

i didn't liked the transportation facility to reach the college

Campus life at the college as we have good sports facilities we spend the rest of the time there.
Dislikes
The connectivity as i belong to uttar pradesh and it takes 2 days for me to reach over here
Placement Experience:
from the 6th semester the students become eligible for the placements a total of 350 companies visited the college and a maximum package of 42 lpa was offered last year
90% of the students get placed considering all branches
100% from it branch hai 97% from the cse branch
Placement is good in our college compared to other NITs we get in these ranks. CSE & IT is considered best here then ECE is also good. You can go for lower branches also, placement does happen in every branch. Our average placement is 13lpa. Every year nearly early 80% of students got placed in this college.
Green campus and beauty. Being at shores of Dal lake gives it a very beautiful touch.
Library is quite good there with ample resources.
Faculty is very professional and experienced.
Dislikes
Hostel rooms are overbooked and that is something i hate the most.
Mess is not upto that level. It's good but not too much.
Campus is very small thus overcrowding in the college.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for Campus placement after 6 semesters and various companies do visit a college campus.
The highest package in 2021 was Rs 42 lakhs by Microsoft.
The percentage varies from course to course.
Highest being CSE which in 2021 was almost 90 percent.
Campus , Faculty, 100% of employees reported the working days monday to Friday
It is one of the oldest NIT’s in India , some faculties are really great and trying their best ,some students do get great placements at good package.
Dislikes
Beautiful campus doesn’t guarantee a great college life , It remains Cold during winter and might not want to step out
Its all great for a moment but you won’t like it much after some time and you will have to share room with 5 roommates,
And if you are expecting some fests like IIT bombay techfest then you are going to be disappointed
Placement Experience:
After the end of the 6th semester, students apply for placement and till the 8th semester, the maximum number of students get placed.
Companies like IBM, NTPC Limited, Indian Oil Corporation, Brillio, HCL technologies, Microsoft, Bharat petroleum, Wipro, Lowe's, Tally solutions, etc
65% of students are getting placed on average.
I will go for placement after getting my degree.
Placements and The Department of Training and Placements
The library, which is my favourite spot to hang out
The location, surrounded by mountains and the dal lake is a whole different vibe to wake up everyday to.
Dislikes
In time for girls in hostels, a jail like feeling which makes me feel every single day that what karma had I done that I became a girl, why am I not priviledged as a boy
Mess food, can be much better, at least can be brought to the edible mark
The security guards. They treat you as if you really are a criminal if you are even 5 minutes late to the hostel or are outside the campus for 4 hours lol, I had never imagined that these things would exist in India
Placement Experience:
For CSE, the placement ratio is 100%, ie either a student gets placed or goes for higher studies and does not sit for placements. The average package is 10lpa for CSE, 8-9 for IT, and around 8 for ECE. For other branches, it is around 4-5lpa. The highest package for the 2018 batch was 42.5lpa in Microsoft for a girl in CSE. Placements start at the end of the 6th semester. The department of Training and Placements takes care of it in the most dis splined and well-done manner and works hard. Almost 200-300 + companies visit in either online or offline mode. They offer both jobs and internships.
The placements in this institution are good and much better. The average placement package offered in the stream of Computer Science and Engineering was 13,50,000. And the remaining branches' packages are also fine enough.
The placement scenario is good in this college. Last year's batch grabs good placements. The highest placement was 42 lakh offered by Microsoft. The average package of all branches is around 10 LPA.
After the second-year students can sit in placement.
The college had good placements for the last three years. Received an average package of 13LPA for the CS and IT branches with 100% placements.
And, 8LPA for all branches with approx. 85% placements. If any student didn't get placed then he/she can go for Ph.D. at IIT Delhi as the college has signed MoU with IIT Delhi.
In the University there were a lot of events which had happened in the University. However, when our University had organised events then participation from Schools, Colleges, and Universities had participated in the University. The campus was a facility rich place and there was a lot of exposure.
