Remarks

You need to qualify JEE Mains exam for this college. JEE Mains application fees: 600rs-700rs Reservations you can avail Home state quota ( only eligible in the state from where you have completed your 12th). General EWS, OBC, and SC/ST are caste-based reservations. Girls quota reservation ( only for girls).

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course as it has highly paid jobs and also my interest in computers. Faculty to student ratio is good here. Every department has at least 20 professors. Faculty here are much qualified, they all have completed their Ph.D. from IITs or foreign universities. Semester exams are conducted in two phases:- mid-term and end-term. Mid-term is easy-level and 30 marks, while end-term is medium-level and 60 marks.

The college had good placements for the last three years. Received an average package of 13LPA for the CS and IT branches with 100% placements. And, 8LPA for all branches with approx. 85% placements. If any student didn't get placed then he/she can go for Ph.D. at IIT Delhi as the college has signed MoU with IIT Delhi.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is predefined so possibly no hike in fees and the cost of the study is also affordable. A medium-class family student can easily afford the fee. Also, there is a fee waiver for below 5 lacs family income and also for below 1 lacs family income students. Students can avail of scholarships and also education loans easily.

Campus Life

Travnanza is the annual fest here but no monthly fest is conducted and also these fests are student-funded not by the institute. The library is full of books & journals, probably, you will find all types of books. The sports culture is on the hike here. Also, we inter NIT competitions.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are below average because they accommodate 5-6 students in a single room in the third year, 3-4 in the second year, and single rooms for students in the fourth year who has more than 8.5 CGPA till the third year.

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

There are in campus placements in our university. Students become eligible for the same from 7th semester. Companies like IBM, AMAZON, WIPRO, INFOSYS, DELOITTE, CGEGG, HONDA, NTPC, ACCENTURE are the top recruiters. The highest package was of 36.5 LPA and the average is 11.5LPA in the year 2023. The placement rate was of 108.38%.

Placement Experience:

Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Nit Srinagar the heaven

Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

I got this college on the basis of councellign held after jee main result before this i got Natinal institue of technology Megalya i left that beacuse of non permanent hostel facility and bad reviews from the seniors and the distance from mine hoemtown sikar(Rajasthan) even many good engineerig colleges was there in mine list but because of mine less marks in jee main and advance i am unable to get them (example : nit silchar, nit Wrangle, nit Trichy etc) but over all mine college was good according to Enviroment conditions and other parameters and the admission process was very smooth just you have to verify your documents ....Read More

As we all know that the B.Tech course is of four years and divided into eight semesters. It is offereed across 8 different specialisations including /cse, /ee, ECE, MEC, META, CIVIL, IT /cHE . The course admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in JEE Main followed by JOSSA counselling/CSAB counselling. The allotment is donw on the basis of merit score in Je/e Main. The Eligibility Criteria is that the candiddate must qualify JEE Main and score above 75% marks in 12th. A score of 96 - 97 p;ercentile is enough for an OB/C or General student and 93% -90 perccentile for SC / ST students.
