Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor's degree with a minimum duration of four years in clinical sciences viz. MBBS, AYUSH, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, BHMS, BPT, BOT, B.Sc. (Nursing), BVSc or a professional degree in Allied Subjects/fields by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institution (or equivalent grade B in UGC 7-point scale or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).

OR, Masters level degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, Management, Sciences, Technology, and Allied Subjects/fields with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University/Institution (or equivalent grade B on UGC 7-point scale or equivalent grade on a point scale wherever grading system is followed).

JNU MPH Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for MPH admission at JNU, candidates must fulfull the following requirements:

An MBBS Degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized institution.
An M.Sc. in Nursing with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized institution.

JNU MPH Admission Criteria

Admission to MPH will be done through Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG) conducted by NTA. Candidates must clear the CUET PG exam in order to get admission to MPH at JNU. No Viva-Voce will be conducted by the university this year. The selection will be based on the basis of performance in the CUET PG exam. The final selection will be based on the merit list released by the university.

Candidates applying for MPH admission at JNU must apply for CUET PG on the official website. The application process is mentioned below:

JNU MPH Fees

JNU charges an annual fee of INR 2690 for its MPH program.

For Foreign Nationals:

(i) Tuition Fee:

US $1900 per semester for courses in science disciplines.
US $1500 per semester for courses in humanities and social sciences.

(ii) Incidental charges: US $250 per semester will be charged from both the above categories.

JNU MPH Course Details

The course consists of three semesters.
Intensive field study of district health systems is involved. The field study takes place in inter semester breaks and in the fourth semester.
Out of 36 credits, 27 credits are given to course work and remaining 9 credits to field study.
There are two types of courses:

Core courses with 14 credits
Optional courses with 13 credits.

Field Study comprises a description and an analysis of the district health structure. Community Health Centre,Primary Health Center and Sub-Centre and Village level are included in this.
Data is collected at all levels related to health structures, health programmes and their extent of reach to the public.
Village study includes a quality based analysis of the health system and its relation to the health needs of different sections of the population.
