It's a beautiful campus and well reputed university and the teaching staff is great with good experience
Every faculty members are not perfect but mostly are enough good with teacher and student bonding mind-blowing i can praise every staff members as well professors whose role is shaping students future wow
The hostels are quite decent and the food quality is also good.

Dislikes

THE 2ND CONS WILL BE ABOUT THE CAMPUS. SMOKING IS BAN IN CAMPUS BUT SOME CANTEENS SELL IT ILLEGALY WHICH IS NOT GOOD. 2. SOME CASES OF RAGING ARE ALSO SHOWN TIME TO TIME
In Jamia there is so many courses but the management for all courses are not enough good. Administration should take action regarding all the courses. Nowadays in jamia the management is going slow down. I mean it not effective in favour of students.
I don't like to Cheers of my university,and there are lots of things which have no importance of using in jamia Millia Islamia University and there are lots of disturbance in reading hall of jamia

JMI frok eye of 1st sem student

Campus is huge 250 acres of campus bigger then any college of DU
Canteen food is too good they have veg and non veg option available and the quality and price is very affordable and tasty as well.
Faculty is great all the research and reputed government professors are appointed. Which helps in self development

Dislikes

Classes are for long hours my class start from 9am and ends at 3pm
Boys and girl ratio there are more number of girls
Washroom are not too good they are actually in bad condition

Placement Experience:

Studetnts are elegible for placement after 8th semester. All the big companies come and vist for placement. BCom hons is not course whivh will get your carrear for whole life it can only allow you to enter in market avg placement is 6 lakh per annum highest is 16 lakh per annum. I am pursuing CFA also soo definitely i will be getting more then this because of certificate.

The jamia review

Likes

Affordable college with very low fees as compared to other private colleges
Better environment for studies the campus is full of lush green trees
Better infrastructure facilities available in the campus

Dislikes

The campus is in Delhi which is full of pollution
The faculty is outdated most professor are very experienced with over 30 years of experience
As such placement are very low for this college

Placement Experience:

Our university offer placement support to students who are in final year by helping in preparing their resume and inviting different companies to campus for the recruitment process we have a dedicated placement cell for our department which works hard to get it's students placed

My Heart at Jamia

Likes

The college campus is very breathtaking, All over greenry and old aesthetic buildngs.
My college faculty and teachers are very good.
Seniors are very helpful and society is also great it gives you a great exposure.

Dislikes

My timminng for class is evening for self finance so i don't like.
Clubs are not that good buy yeah societies are great.
Food of canteen is average but fast food and all other are great.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our course curriculum is relevnat to our field as my course is B.Com(hons). We have all relevant subject to ace our skills. I think classes like general urdu and islamiat should be once in a week so we get some time to relax . Classes are also on saturday which i think will be change in future as our facultu said.

Jamia in my eyes

I liked the exposure and beauty of campus inside the campus we can have a peaceful vibe there are so much canteens surrounded with nature.
Behaviour of staffs and faculties are very good.
Though the university is in delhi we can explore more places.

Dislikes

After exiting the gate of campus there are so many vehicles we cant even cross road. Anybody didnt stop
The air condition is very bad when i get outside i will start to sniffing
The department of commerce is not good as i expected because the teacher's cant teach in english they only know hindi. Though they are the proffesors of central university but they don't know hindi

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is very good.As per nep courses are chaneg from three year to four year it is very good.there is minor, major, generic, voc, vac etc we can choose what we want in those, it gave a big opportunity

Life at JMI

Likes

Faculty members are all well educated and considerate towards students
Library and reading hall have wifi and all types of books with proper air conditioning and electricity
Campus is very beautiful and also near to mosque and has in campus parking for students

Dislikes

Classes needs renovation and new furniture

Placement Experience:

4th semester students are considered for placement and even campus placements are there for them the companies approach our university for selection and the selection rate is around 70% as of last year. The companies visited are TCS and 2-3 other companies. The highest package was around 20LPA for bcom hns My plans after degree is to go for CFA which is an international degree professional course.

The campus of the college is really big and attractive. Great option for the students who wish to take admission in such a college. The campus is full of greenery and has atleast 5 cafes/canteens. One can always have a great evening in such an env.
The people of the university are really cooperative and friendly. The amazing is full of amazing people and are always open for friendship and help. Students of Jamia become one anothers family and spend an amazing time during their study period here
Ragging is prohibited in Jamia Millia Islamia. The punishment of such an act is direct expulsion. Such strict rules make the environment of the campus really safe.

Dislikes

Classes get cancelled really often. Every other day after reaching the campus you get to know that the class has been cancelled.
They don't seriously check the ID cards before giving people entry in the campus which makes it a spot for all sorts of people.
Procedures get delayed. Starting from the result of the entrance tests to the convocation of the graduates.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've always loved commerce since my school time so I decided to pursue qualification in the same from one of the most prestigious universities and hence I took admission in Jamia Millia Islamia. The curriculum of the course that JMI follows, prepares the students to face tuff situation in the respective field and also prepares the students to work efficeintly in their career in the field of commerce.

Jamia: Begining of my new life

Placement Experience:

Placements for this course is not that great but it is improving every year. Last year Samsung and Kotak Mahindra Bank have visited the campus and recruited students at some handsome package of around 3-4 lakhs PA. But the company is very tough as nearly all the students want to be placed in their final year.

Nice College with nice crowd and good experience

Remarks:

Overall the college is very good. The campus is large and attractive. The canteens operate since morning till late evening. However, the college authorities are stubborn.
