Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has announced an extension for the undergraduate and postgraduate application deadline. Prospective students who missed the initial window now have a final opportunity to submit their forms for the 2026-27 academic year. This extension applies to a wide range of programs, ensuring that candidates across various disciplines can complete their registration on the official admission portal.

The university issued this notice to accommodate students who required more time to finalize their documentation. Candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility criteria before the new cutoff date, as the administration has clarified that no further extensions will be granted beyond this period.

The eligibility requirements at JMI vary depending on the specific level of the program. For Undergraduate (UG) courses like BA, B.Sc, and B.Com, candidates generally need to have completed their 10+2 (Senior Secondary) examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. For professional courses like B.Tech, the requirement is typically 55% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

For Postgraduate (PG) programs such as MA, M.Sc, or MBA, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least 50% to 55% marks. Diploma and Certificate courses often require a minimum of 45% to 50% in the qualifying 10+2 or Graduation exam, depending on the specific department's standards.

The selection process at JMI is primarily entrance-based. For the majority of its internal programs (including various UG/PG/Diploma courses), candidates must appear for the JMI Entrance Test.
