Jamia Millia Islamia offers various programs at the undergraduate level in the fields of Engineering, Science, Arts, Law, Commerce, and Management, among others. JMI M.Phil/Ph.D Admission 2025

M.Phil. and Ph.D. admission are based on candidates’ performance in Written Test conducted by JMI followed by an Interview and evaluation of Research proposal. Master’s degree with 55% marks in the relevant discipline is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission.

JMI M.Phil/Ph.D Selection Process

JMI Ph.D. Entrance Test: The test is conducted in English medium except for Language subjects. Students have to pass both section A and B in order to be shortlisted for Interview. Qualifying in the entrance test would not give any right to admission to the candidate.

I started my master's in Chandigarh University before joining Jamia. We have to clear an entrance for JMI. In comparison, it is much better than Chandigarh University. The fee for Jamia is around 16000 for the course , whereas it's around 1.5 lakh there. Then comes the professors. They are much experienced and better in Jamia. The study material, syllabus everything is based on entrances and deep knowledge of the subject here in Jamia.

I didn't apply to any other college and neither did i try to do that, i liked jamia millia islamia and i got into the bba distance course first and this b.voc food production course was going to die but don't know why in the end they decided not to actually end it. The requirements were 45%+ in boards exam and an entrance exam for the course, the cutoff was at 74% before they did the whole drama of ending the course but after they brought it back they made the cut off at 50% at which point whoever was above that mark in entrance exam could get in. The exam was a little easier than the othet entrance exam i gave of the courses from the same deptt. It consisted of general knowledge, maths and English portions

Once the CUET merit list has been released, the university will release the cut-off for the respective courses. Students who have meet the cut-off can register themselves and participate in the counseling process.

The percentage refers to the total and final percentage, which is the combination of both practical as well as theory. You are eligible if you have 10+2 (PCM/B) with 50% marks in aggregate.

Yes, you can apply for admission to the MCA course of JMI if you have a BCA degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks. However, the admission entrance test for the upcoming academic session for the MCA has already been conducted.
