IIT Delhi Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From 3rd year you start getting notifications about the placements and their tests and by the time your enter the 4th year many of the students already have the PPOs and who don't have, them get the option to sit for the placement. If the placement is not offered you can go for higher studies and you have an edge in the interviews being from IIT Delhi.

So it is among the finest college in India. It has a tremendously good level of placement of students relative to the other college students. Many companies come here and provide many packages and offer for students. You get placement after your 7 semesters and also after 8 semesters. Approx 90 to 95 per cent of students who sit in the placement round get placed. I also get my placement just after 7 semesters only.

There is on campus placement. You can register on portal of OCS IITD and you can apply to various company, submit resume and give entrance exams and all the shortlisting processs. Average package is around 9-11 LPA and there are many students who get placement outside India and also 1 cr + package.

One of the main reasons of choosing IIT Delhi is its amazing Placements. Companies from different profiles Core, IT, Finance, Consultancy, and Analytics come to campus, and after the 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements. Around 1200 offers companies made. The highest and Average Packages in IT are 50LPA+ and 22LPA respectively ( Adobe made the highest ), in Consulting it is 30LPA+ and 15LPA (LEK made the highest). The percentage of students getting placed is misleading, these are confused with the total number of offers and sometimes it's like 2 or 3 offers are made to the same person but overall 70 to 80 percent of students get placed. My plan is to get a job in the IT sector after getting my B.Tech Degree.

Campus Placements are decent 12-XYZ Lpa on average but high workload and pressure especially during the December placement session. The lowest package could be 7-8Llpa, highest - is 4cr. All the top companies, Google, Microsoft, Bajaj, PwC, EY, Consulting & Finance companies, Startups, SDE roles, Tech, and Noncore are decent. but Core placements are not good. Many people opt for noncore placements. Placement -90-93% of those who sit.

The students are eligible for campus placements in their 4th year for a B.Tech and 5th year for Dual-degree students. About 200 companies visited for internships while more than 300 companies for placements. Some companies that visited were Microsoft, Google, Samsung, Nvidia, options, etc. with about 3-5 offers per company. The highest package was 2 crore and the average was 12 lakhs. about 90 percent of people that sat in the placement got placed on campus. I have plans to pursue master's in my core field after the degree.

The semester placements start after the 6th semester. All the students are eligible for sitting through the placement process. Many companies visit the campus ranging from different domains (IT, Consulting, Core).

From 7th semester students become eligible for colleg placments. Almost all the top companies in world visited here including optiver,graviton,amazon,meta,etc. Number of offers made is 1000+ Highest package of aur college is 4 cr offered by Jane street in Quant trading domain. Average package of tech placement is app. 25 lakh. and for consulting it is about 15 lakh. And for core profiles it is about 10 lakh.

I chose this particular course because of various personal and professional reasons. One of them being I always wanted to come to IIT Delhi because of its well-known academic curriculum. So I preferred IIT Delhi over any other college. I was always interested in circuital courses, so according to my rank, I opted for electrical (power and automation). Faculty to student ratio is a little poor, but the quality of faculties is up to mark. Term exams happen in time and with decent efforts, it's not very difficult to pass the examination.

The companies that come here for the placements are top-tier and settle for nothing but the best. The competition here is cutthroat. The companies like Optiver, jane street, bane, bcg take multiple screening processes to reach the final interview. The packages here go up to 3 Cr with an average of 14 LPA. More than 80% of students get placed every year and I am planning to be placed in one of the top consulting firms as well
