Panjab University Chandigarh Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I aim at going to a corporate sector or in a banking field so I chose subjects like Business communications, Financial literacy and economics and all these subjects are really helping to to go towards my dream. Business communications and Financial literacy really prepares you well for real world situations like interviews etc. They try to inculcate confidence in the student and solutions to various situations that can happen in real life. Sometimes the teacher really dig very deep into a petrichor's topic and that thing sometimes disconnects the student and 8 subjects are really difficult for students to handle if has no interest in some subjects. Time limit is a matter of concern we hardly got 1 hour in class during MSTs to complete our exam and also we get 3 hours for semester exams but the questions that come in the exam are of 18 marks each so it feels like we could've done better if time would've been a bit more and that is a factor that I consider to be a bit unsatisfactory.

I have to go with government exams in future that's why I opted this course. There are 5 to 6 faculty members in economics department and 5 of them teach our subjects. The faculty members and highly educated but the teaching method was okay. The exams were quite easy to pass and I had secured 75% in graduation.

Our college provides job placements and internship opportunities in the college. As far as it is concerned there was a sudden increment in job placements from the college and many companies from different spheres like computer, IT, Telephone, communication, etc. are provided. As available on the internet, the truth is that offers up to 3-4 lakh per annum are on averagely provided and the highest packages are up to INR 20 LAKH per annum. Approximately 23-25% of students are placed annually in different companies. However, after getting a degree I do not want to pursue the job but I want to home my skills and experience and put them into my family business.

In the final year, companies come to hire the students. Honestly, they see the hidden talent and quality over scores Our college presents good companies like Google etc. My plan after graduation is to pursue MBA in IIM.

GGDSD college is one of the best college in Chandigarh. I spend my 3 years there very easily. It has great atmosphere also.

This University is good. Since I'm in Economics department of Panjab University, this department is one of the best department in this university, also the former PM Dr Manmohan Singh is alumnus of Economics department of Panjab University. And many renowned people are alumnus of Panjab University
